His point was if you're truly in love then you shouldn't look at the caste of a person; and you're marrying the person not the family - since marriage is an intimate relationship between two people, he didn't listen to his family which was disagreeing on petty matters which don't actually matter (caste & creed, etc).

well his wife's cremation was done without parents' permission. She was burnt and not burried unlike the custom in her parental family.... All this when she died by so called practice of yoga.... she should have died a natural death and parents should have been allowed to see the body before it was turned to ash, eliminating all possibility of post-mortem for detecting why she died.... don't tell me it doesn't sound fishy. most likely she didn't die a natural death....
