Involved in the sense actively engaged (physically, mentally, etc.), but not personally. Traditionally, he uses the word "associated with", I think, or it is actually fitting more properly. Suppose you are at a store, buying things, and paying at the counter. A band of hooligans run in and rob the store, and run out. Can you be associated with them just because you happened to be on the same premises with them? Do you associate yourself with them, do you identify yourself with them? Probably, not. But what if you are at your own wedding? Can you not identify with the part you are actually playing or acting? That's a thing! Being part of the service, being present, doing the right things, being emotionally involved, committing to the vows, but not committing personally. Imagine just observing the whole situation as if you were standing on top of a mountain, observing the view, experiencing excitement, being in awe of the wonderful moment, but realising that it is just a passing moment, that the scenery will change, but you will remain, you will stay intact no matter what. You need to find a place somewhere deep inside to be able to look at the whole thing from a distance. There is vivid description of this in "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy when Pier Bezuhoff is lying on the battlefield and looking in the sky, and is completely lost in the moment. The key here is to identify who you really, what you are, what makes you tick, and then be associated with it continuously and constantly, and play an active role in the society while being governed by this new realisation of the self.

My interpretation is that you become extremely concentrated on what is happening but as an observer of the changing reality. Then you develop equanimity as a result of experiencing how fast things change and by not reacting or clinging at things that nevertheless will pass.

I normally don’t jump in to provide my opinion. But just for fun i am replying. So dont take it seriously😊 Regarding his dressing, you may be new to this channel. I have seen him dressed in sports jackets to dhoti and even loin cloth. Outer dressing doesnt determine what is inside. 😊🙏🏻 For most people, thier Intelligence first tries to judge Sadhguru by his outer appearance. Then when you get to know him, then hopelessly start follow him. Atleast that was my experience with him 😊🙏🏻
