While this is true for "yogis" of a specific kind, this doesn't hold well for everyone. How about Karma Siddhanta? It is the foundation of almost all metaphysical concepts especially in the spiritual mahadhara of sanatana Dharma. In bhakti yoga Krishna himself says, for those who can understand "god" in a formless way it is good, but, since it is almost not possible for everyone, Karma is the way - to know "namaha" "that which is not" . So, this is good for JK and likewise for RamanaMaharshi, may be also for Srirama krishna paramhans, but we must not follow that path. It is like because Adishankara swalloed molten iron orated Nirvana shatkam, you can do it too . No. No way. While "following"is good, it is also important to follow that which you can. So it is imp to know who it applies and appeals to. If you tell the above to a common man, it is very likely you will send him down ironically. It might do so less good. That's why Karma Siddhanta is practiced widely. To repeat, and summarize, I am not saying jk is right or wrong, I'm saying we must choose to follow what he said carefully. Because he is a "dhara" and we? We are still the fishes trying find our way.

Dear Sadhguru, with all my love and respect to you, would like to make a comment here. J.K was understood by lots of people, including my self, he was deeply intelligent not intellectual! Intelligence comes from within, it is innate, while intellectuality is acquired by external gathering of learnings. J.Krishnamurti was an original seeker and a highly intelligent being only because he could be present continuously, without judgments in the now. His philosophy was mere observation of inner and outer movements till the point as to where the observed and the observer were one. When I studied him it was so clear to me, all that he said, a revelation and a shock! It gave my life a quite different turn in many ways. The reason why so many spiritual leaders today don’t even mention him is not because he was not understood but because they refuse to admit that the base of all their teachings comes from him. I think it is from complex of inferiority. His philosophy is like a stepping stone to everything else ever said. I can only compare his method to Socrates from ancient Greece. And he left a living legacy behind, with his schools and lively recorded teachings 🙏🙏🙏🙏namaskaram ♥️♥️🌈

Especially his book “Freedom from the known”, I still have in my library. Both JK and Sadhguru are enlightened, but the methods both have adopted to communicate are totally different. @@jmm8193 out of reach, in the sense probably that you won't really have the depth that he had, or understand the things he said at the same level, or at least In the same way, which may be partially true, but it's just another one of those cases where people deify someone whose knowledge or ability are far beyond their own. But he's specifically talk about gurus so he could mean something else I suppose.

@@NoUsernamae Another "smarty pants" Let me ask you my friend, who is that "he" you referring to? And what is it that, according to you, I am not able to understand? It seems that you are not "out of reach". If you understand PLEASE explain to me what it is that you "know" that you "understand", to write me to respond with those words. Truly I inform you that first of all, the understanding of what is TRUE, of WHAT IS THE ACTUAL THING has nothing to do with achieving anything, with a level of knowledge, with particular way of thinking of anybody. Because if that is the case, that individual is ost in his own jungle of illusions, which is actually the jungle of someone else accepted and copied as his own. And that JUNGLE OF ILLUSIONS is what confused people called "knowledge", "ability". And when you write, ... "what may be partially true", in reality what you are informing me is that you do not really know what you are dealing with, therefore you do not understand at all the core of the whole thing. And yet you dare to write to me being "out of reach". So, answer me, what is that "depth" you are referring to? What is that "knowledge", that "ability" that you are pointing out? Help me not to be "out of reach"! TRY ME! Your answer is nothing more than the response of an individual with a lack of humility, sincerity, honesty, full of pure pretense. If you were a "serious" person, you would have responded with other words with the intention of separating the TRUTH from the falsehood. And not pretending of being sure of what you are really not.

I was an Inner Engineering practitioner for 2 years and It helped me to understand that we don't need methods to be free. We need methods when we want to do something while Meditation is something that allows us to undo everything. Sadhguru's method provided me with a juxtaposition to clearly see what methods can do and what it can't. I don't agree with Sadhguru for his conclusion on JK having no inner experience. I think he has a phenomenal inner experience that's why he refuses to give any methods, teachings or authority because he has truly understood the nature of being. Intelligence and Compassion - JK :)

When you say you appropriate? Where do you get this feeling? If you observe them both, they both have some degree of sameness or union. When you go to the kitchen, you don't have a single absolute tool to use in every type of work. It's not what Krishnamurti said, but how he said it, that's what we need to learn from him. He perfectly expressed the processes verbally. Jnana is something that should be taught to all of us when we're young.
@5xing8gua5 жыл бұрын
We are young as far and as long as we feel ourselves as beginners not as mature in something. So we can grasp knowledge not because of youth but because our inner feeling that can be verbalized as "someone may know it better than me" until it evolves and transform itself into "nobody can teach me on this". The beautiful part of this evolution is that it can be dismissed at any moment with no reward so you can learn something as a true beginner. But ability to dismiss own experience is not widely spread across people. So it came to us as one who can dismiss his own knowledge or memory in the meaning of being free in his choice independently from his memory and previous choices - as special being. Indeed it is special. But all of us had nothing special in making everyday choices with or without memory as far as we did that choices in unconscious way.

I teach the violin. The greatest challenge is to 'reduce' the student to pure inner attention (where the senses aim at a perfection of awareness which then, in turn, guides the movements or actions previously explored as natural gift) - to reduce all the distractions. It is an ongoing experience which, after a number of years of this they may, and occasionally do 'get it'! I read Krishnamurti and hear this very same process, this attempt to bring the listener into an awareness of life. He beats down their intellectual pride and processes with superior intellect and then builds up a potential so that there is only a living experience of life left! I listen and learn.

Sadhguru is correct about many things related to 'K'. But, with due respect to Sadhguru , he is wrong about the conclusion he has reached. K refused to give any method or process solely because that is where independent thinking stops & worship begins. That's exactly where cults begin, the rigidity of dogma & self-righteousness of groups begins. And, that's where all the conflict over who is right & who is superior - even in the realm of metaphysics- begins. People, including Sadhguru, would realise K's greatness the moment they give a serious thought to the amount of violence, bloodshed & loss even claims of spiritual superiority have led the humanity into ! If one is to have freedom to observe, freedom of understanding,& reach one's own conclusions there must not be any sort of 'conditioning' whatsoever ! This is the crux of K's approach to everything. Prescribing any method or process or ritual- which is what most people are looking for- a shortcut is created which only leads to moribund dogma & eventual decadence. K' fragrance is NOT gone as Sadhguru reiterates. Its all there for the humanity to draw from in his talks & books. What is really needed is to understand what he is saying & apply it to one's own life, to whatever measure one can. That is K's actual legacy for the humanity. K himself has always emphasised to put all that in practice & see the difference it makes or even trash it all ,if its useless. THIS freedom is unimaginable in any school of thought amongst the plethora of 'ways of living' around us. Besides leaving a fabulous legacy for the posterity K has done a great service to the mankind by leaving no method or process behind. That's where the fragrance of his uniqueness lies !

Very nice. One additional point, when u have some base, even knowledge about to go after which is unknown. It becomes a lens from which d person observes its daily life. The very knowledgeable, method, gurus prevents the senses from perceiving what is in moment. And that's why no method, or anybody on this earth could help one to bring change. It must come from perceiving thing as it is, learning while unlearning, continuous and endless. Until it understands them fully, or at least develop the ability to see things as it is and not how it ought to be. Yours was a nice comment.

Yes, it requires an honesty and evolution of human consciousness to be able to receive what K has to offer. Majority of humans do not qualify, its much easier to follow someone or something, belief is easier...

So well said Vivek. You touched upon the essence of K's teaching. The way Sadhguru puts it; yes it's wonderful to listen to, but not relevant because it's a intellectual exercise for almost everyone else. But is that a reason to stop trying to understand.

Sorry, but it has never felt to me that J. Krishnamurti was speaking from the intellect. His wisdom was coming from a much deeper and profound place. I have to say that his words were resonating with my very core unlike your teachings. No one's wisdom has ever resonated with me as profoundly as Krishnamurti's. He had zero arrogance and zero ego unlike many who present themselves as spiritual teachers and gurus, yourself included. Krishnamurti IMO was born at the wrong time, about 1000 years earlier the age when he could be understood. Our collective consciousness is not even remotely close to being able to grasp the truths he was revealing.

There are lot more people than I thought that understands JK's teaching. And you are right about JK's speechs not coming from intellect. Probably to self enquire, one does not require to be intellectual. I do not and and probably will never understand JK as a person since I never met him. But JK's teachings, did essentially set the sails for my journey and make me realize that only constant self enquiry can get you close to reality.

No need for such despair Sadguruji, I am sure there are many people who understood JD. Just the comments on this video itself reflects people's understanding, in my opinion 🙂. Maybe at your level you expect people to understand more. 🙏

What a Blessing for inquisitive seekers, for a Jijnaasu, to get a Great Being like SATHGURU from the AaadiGuru Swathwams to get ideas and persons explained ,all that is under the Sun if we choose to ask ,unbiased observations spontaneously flowing out of HIS wisdom..Thank You SATHGURU for sooo many reasons .....

JK is fascinating. One cannot blink in his talks - you blink and you miss the continuity of the thought. Fair introduction by Sadhgutu. Two points that struck me - 1) It is perfectly all right to be unknown 2) Peaceful death is the main purpose in life
@jmm81935 жыл бұрын
Can I ask, what thought is that if there is any? Are you unknown? let see, are you a "citizen" who loves his "country," his "flag," his nationality, calls himself by an epitet, loves his profession and so on,and so on, and so on?

My approach is simple. Be open and try techniques, attend processes, watch JK, contemplate, max out your routine with learning and trying everything. All with utter honesty. This will awaken me one day. It can happen now as JK says. I have experienced deep states of stillness which are beyond mind. But didn't last. Certain stillness does accompany me all the time. But not liberated totally. I think trying with utter honesty and nurturing and building attention is the only way along with persistent conscious observation and seeing. Being open and free without letting judgement take over the learning process is vital.

It's better to propose the solution to smell the fragrance rather than pointing out the fact that others can't do the same my dear. EDIT: Plus ,if the fragrance is only available to certain parties then practically the fragrance don't exist. Now we are done.

@@phoenixj1299 Not it is not, because it was a reply to the saying of Sadhguru. Cantastorie was just taking him by his own words. It is Sadhguru who said th fragrance was smelled during lifetime of JK but now it is gone. And so if the fragrance is still there it must be Sadhguru's choice (?) not to smell it. There was no exclusion of certain groups of people who are not able to smell it because they are not supposed to, but as you say there might be some who are blind to the truth. Now we are done. ;)
