Note: not commenting this to hate just to clear up some misinterpreted bible verses and things said about loa/ manifestation and christianity Let’s start with the first statement: 3:49-4:00 . Okay, that is like saying “if God didn’t want evil He wouldn’t allow it or have made it”…we all know that He didn’t create evil and that it is due to the devil and fall of man that we live in an evil and broken world. 4:00-4:17 . This verse is not at all about what she said it is. It is about how Jesus died for our sins as the ultimate sacrifice so that we don’t have to sacrifice animals anymore to worship God, but that our form of worship is to worship through our lives. It is saying we shouldn’t worship like the rest of the world because Christ came and fulfilled that role and made a new covenant. (Romans 12) 4:18-4:44 . The bible is there to show us how God wants us to live and how to have a relationship with Him. It tells the story of how Jesus redeems all those who believe. It’s not up to us how we want to use or interpret the bible, we aren’t ment to change the bible or cherry pick what we want out of it. It is the whole Word of God and we are ment to change because it brings light to our darkness/sinfull nature. 4:45-5:02 This chapter in Proverbs is about someone who is selfish and someone who you can’t trust because he is relying on his heart (and your heart is deceitful-Jeremiah 17:9). Reading in the context of the chapters are so important. Loa and Christianity does have similarities, but that does not mean they work together. Prayer is replaced with manifestation and God is replaced with the universe. Manifestation is centered around yourself whereas Christians are called to put yourself last and serve others (Mark 8:34-36). John 16:33. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”

i really love what you said about LOA and Christianity having parallels. when i first got into manifesting, i felt as if i was going against my own belief system, and almost as if i was going against God, and asking another power (the universe) for the things i should've been asking Him. however, now after researching both LOA and reading the bible, i think of manifestation as a kind of prayer, the universe and God as one being, and manifestation as both a way to attract and a way to recieve God's gifts. thank you for bringing it up and mentioning that practicing both are possible, i think that could be so inspiring, helpful, and affirming to Christians who are just discovering the power of LOA, it definitely was to me.

you used genesis 1:25 and romans 12:2 which i think were both wonderful verses, but i also think mark 11:24 is a perfect example, as it states, "so i tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have recieved it, and it will be yours" (NRSV). this is the basis or manifestation and LOA, and it is outlined directly in the bible.

@@joya9615 i am not entirely sure, as i said, that is just my thought process. it could be either, depending on how you look at it. if you are coming at it from the perspective where people think of "the universe" as this higher power, for me that higher power is God, so in that sense they are one in the same. if you think of the universe as a thing and not a higher power, it says in the bible "He Himself is before all things, and in Him all things hold together" (Colossians 1:17 NRSV) therefore He would come first.

@@joya9615 i wouldn't compare them, i think of it in the way of asking God for the things i want to attract, and not asking the universe. God is the higher power that when practicing the LOA i am in conversation with. i don't think that the universe is another "heavenly being" as it says in psalms, for me it is just another way to describe Him or a term used for Him by those who either haven't met God yet, or those who don't believe in Him. practicing visualization and manifestation is another form of prayer for me, just a different way of doing it.

When God created us, He said that we are fearfully and wonderfully made which is tru as you said but because He is the creator and created all things , all credit should be to the creator not the creation itself. I’m talking the universe is Gods creation and He called it good. When He created us, He created us so that we can worship Him not his creation(the universe). Manifestation and the LOA don’t correlate with scripture or the bible/Gods teaching and the scriptures that you gave were taken way out of context. That’ what I wanted to say. Manifesting and faith are 2 different things. Faith issue assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Christianity is focused on GOD as the center of our lives. The creator of whom we should worship. Trusting in God, having faith in God and putting God first

Manifestation focuses on you and what you want in your life and what your goals are and who you are. In Christianity, we focus on God and His will for our lives. In Christianity, Jesus died for our sins not so that we can live life the way we want to but because of his sacrifice we are changed to be more like Him. He takes away our sins and purifies us and we become his and not ourselves only if we believe that he did die on the cross and we repent of ours sins. I think following God and becoming His and relying on him is pretty cool tbh

Manifesting doesn’t mean to forget GOD or put him behind anything. You keep him first in all things asking for his help and guidance. If you want to be a pastor you believe and walk as though you already are with GODS help you become…. Manifesting…… As a believer thats how I see and think of it. Just take the technical definition and apply what you can, for people of faith like me, to better understand manifesting that is as similar and as comparable as I can put it. Yes GOD works through you, with that you also have to do the work as well. When we pray we have to believe what we are saying otherwise its in vain (faith), same as manifesting, believers will keep GOD at the top of everything of course. Your wanting something to come into existence so you believe it will and it does. We as people of faith believe in GOD and GOD is in us our hearts, our minds, and our spirit so with believing in GOD you surely are believing in yourself because he is a part of you. You can manifest and be a follower/ believer of GOD you just believe in GOD to help execute your desires rather than just yourself. Still same concept we ( believers) just have a great deal of help when we believe.
