Maybe call your local wildlife people to relocate the fire salamanders, they can live up to 50 years and are considered vulnerable. It would make an interesting video addition too.

They are lovely creatures... I hope a suitable home can be found for them. I had a salamander in a basement of a house I lived in... I relocated him near the creek in the base of a nice tree... he seemed happy with that but that was in the summertime... not the dead of winter. Very much enjoy watching your channel... seeing you and Sadie work together Stan makes my day. That and my Pops name was Stanley... I could tell you a cute story about that someday. He used to own an Autobody shop... I miss my Pops. He passed in 2009. I still feel like I lost a wealth of knowledge I'll never get back.

You make a great point. Having a large, looming derelict building close by would be extremely undesirable indeed. It attracts partying kids and undesirable elements, besides the aesthetic issues of course, so it can only serve to boost property values in the area. Love this couple for all they're doing for the village 🙂

That plant with the beautiful leaves is Arum italicum, it is a species of flowering herbaceous perennial plant in the family Araceae, also known as Italian arum and Italian lords-and-ladies. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant for traditional and woodland shade gardens. Subspecies italicum (the one normally grown in horticulture) has distinctive pale veins on the leaves, whilst subspecies neglectum (known as late cuckoo pint) has faint pale veins, and the leaves may have dark spots. All parts are poisonous, but I think it’s important for some insects. - Amazing those beautiful fire salamanders! 🦎

You two are so fun to watch. You may have to buy several chain saws. A girl can run one too. I have one. A small one that’s not too heavy. I noticed that the grain on the tree you’re cutting is really pretty. Maybe you could make something out of it? The salamanders are so pretty. Maybe give your neighbors a roof tile with their names on it? I’ll bet a lot of your neighbors are excited to see your mansion being restored. It’s so sad to see a wonderful old building go to ruin. I liked the creepy haunted house music. The joke too. I always look forward to your videos.

Arum italicum is a species of flowering herbaceous perennial plant in the family Araceae, also known as Italian arum and Italian lords-and-ladies.[2] It is native to the British Isles[3] and much of the Mediterranean region, the Caucasus, Canary Islands, Madeira and northern Africa. It is also naturalized in Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Argentina, North Island New Zealand and scattered locations in North America. (Wikipedia)

That plant you asked about is called Lords and Ladies (it's a type of arum - other common names include cuckoopint and jack-in-the-pulpit). It's beautiful red berries are very poisonous to humans and animals but not birds (so keep Billy's kids well away). They will appear everywhere however much you dig them up and their roots go down deep in the soil and break off easily so it's very hard to get rid of them. We have them popping up all over the garden.
