For the past 60 years, the Western music industry has ignored Japanese musicians as if they did not exist. For a long time, we have been deprived of the existence of Japanese popular music and its many talents in various genres because the Western music industry has not signed many Japanese musicians to sales contracts in the Western music market and has not supplied the world market with their music. It was only with the advent of the Internet ,KZbin that the invisible racially prejudiced walls of the Western music industry were broken down and the music of the past began to circulate around the world. It was only then that much of the world became aware of the existence of many Japanese past popular music. The Japanese popular scene in various genres were as active in Japan as in the West, with a history of over 60 years, almost the same length as that of the West, but Japanese musicians, no matter how talented they were, were only given the opportunity to sign release contracts limited to domestic only in Japan. So people of all over the world could not even know about the existence of the Japanese Rock music and musicians for a long time because they were buried only in Japanese market.

The modern hit Japanese band Zutomayo is defo influenced a lot by this band's music as well as the music of its own individual members in their respective subsequent careers following the band's breakup in the same year as this video. The popular song "Time Left", which was written for and used as the second ED theme for the Fall 2022 hit anime Chainsaw Man, is heavily influenced by this track in particular. There's no denying there, although I'm still surprised no single foreign listener seem to even realize it except maybe myself alone🤷
Utterly Magical, I remember them on Old Grey Whistle Test, Mika was as captivating as Debbie Harry! Japanese, 70's funk doesn't get much better than this. In fact, no funk is better than this!!!
@matreynolds1 I also remember seeing them on OGWT but I can't remember which track(s) they performed. I only remember being knocked out by them; do you remember what they played?
