Well considering that... (Spoilers) Dream SMP Season 1 ends with a Nuclear Warhead blowing up Tommy, Dream, Tubbo, and other major characters, I really suggest you at least watch the most important lore bits. They're still somewhat dramatic, as this is improv scripting after all, it was meant to be dramatic and create some tension that even the viewers can understand what the characters are feeling. :D

I think one of the most brilliant things that SAD-ist does in these animations is tricking you into thinking its not colored. Alright, you might disagree with me BUT I THINK RED IS AN IMPOTER. 5 Reasons: Red was seen walking into medbay on cams by yellow after that yellow went to elec and did wires and saw RED. Next reason. For the past 3 emergency meetings red has almost NEVER spoken, something imposters usually do For this entire game I have not once seen red doing A task, seems a little sus to me. Greens body was found in navigation, THE LAST PLACE I SAW RED. Moments Pink was reported dead there was a sabotage and I was with red while it happened, red was not moving when it began. I think it would actually be a series of movies similar to the Marvel movies. Where there are the the big events in movies (the Avengers movies) those would be like all of the Sad-ist animations and Doomsday. Then there would be movies focusing on the big things in each person’s storyline (like the Captain America movies or the Iron Man movies) for things like when Dream and Technoblade are imprisoned or Ranboo’s whole storyline.

i only noticed this after my second watch through, but i love how dream's mask remains only half on until he's pleading for his life and trying to convince tommy to spare him... then the mask is fully on, as a visual indicator that the mask, his change in behavior, is his protection. and then tommy cuts it completely off, not falling victim to dream's manipulation anymore. without the protection of his mask, dream, bare faced and vulnerable, finally surrenders his last chance at staying alive : the revive book. edit: the only other time he fully wears the mask is during the battle with tommy and tubbo, again showing he's on guard. the mask only shifts from this when he's feeling confident (half), or when he's been defeated (completely off).

One small detail that I don't think people noticed: look at the only frame where techno appears. When you see the axe of peace on the wall, on his neck you can see an emerald, indicating back at the "friendship emeralds". What I want to say is that, in truth the most valuable object to him is the friendship emeralds he and both Phil owns as Phil was the first ever person Techno saw as a "true friend" after he got 'betrayed' many times.

Dream had a pretty understanding villain arc in the story as everybody saw him as the antagonist of everyone else's story because he was driven by the power of control. Yet, lest you forget, it was the way everybody wanted control, which would've lead to them controlling each other, and the fear of being controlled like puppets. Whoever would hold the puppet strings would make the rules, and Dream saw this as an opportunity to take back his server as he may as well have feared the future becoming unpredictable with constant conflict. He couldn't just wrap puppet strings around everybody, considering the people who he would've once considered as his friends. His acts were heinous, but behind every crime committed, there's always a reason why they did it. Just being evil because they like it is never the correct answer unless they had proven beforehand that they enjoyed hurting others.

"If I die, Wilbur's dead forever." You can hear the smile in his voice. He realised bringing Wilbur into it, someone who's made such an impact on Tommy, someone he *cares* about. By taking something Tommy cares about, and giving him the choice, to kill the one who's done so much to him, but removing *all* chances of bringing back someone so important to him, Dream *knows* what he'll pick. Hence, why you can hear the smile in his voice. He is smug, and even confident he'll get away. Anyways- I mean I may be wrong bc I tried to catch up on the lore a while ago, and only got to the disc war (I think)

Dreams character has set this all up from the start. And honestly it’s so smart and all the manipulation, dream was probably having fun in the prison. Knowing techno will let him out, so he can he the marionette of the server again.

The fact that Tommy spared Dream because he wants Wilbur to live- Okay that made me go on the feels train. That written detail, that little detail in the dialouge shows Dream's mini manipulative traits and Tommy's love for the people he's close to that make him reconsider what he was about to do, it's drawn beautifully along with the other details that were so cleanly/beautifully animated. I love this so much.

the animation, the quotes that they used were INCREDIBLE! punz’s line, “sorry dream, but you should have paid me more” tommy + tubbo’s line “ ‘what am i without you?’ ‘yourself’ AND GHOSTBUR’S LINE “i’m proud” AND THE DRAWINGS WHEN EVERYONE CAME THROUGH THE PORTAL ESPECIALLY NIKI AND SAPNAP! the fighting scene in the beginning, some of the cleanest transitions i’ve ever seen in my life. i love this one. probably my favorite one after the dawn of 16th! 10/10. just had to come back and rewatch it again (:
