The game has been a hit in its PC alpha, and now console players can dive in too.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 fans were thrilled with the recent cosmetic update but worried about the Carnage DLC being canceled. After some detective work, I can confirm it's not canceled. Insomniac Games will be back at San Diego Comic-Con and we could see big plans, with exclusive Spider-Man 2 merchandise confirmed and possibly revealing the Spider-Man 2 DLC Trailer that would feature the Spider-Man 2 Beetle DLC and the reveal of the Carnage DLC.
Insomniac is also active on Twitter, answering fan questions. They've been consistent with their updates, and the Spider-Man 2 PS5 story DLC delay is partly due to a cyber attack in December. Expect more news at Comic-Con, D23 Expo, or an upcoming PlayStation Showcase.

I’d like to see snow, but also a focus on queens and Brooklyn for story missions, tasm 2 as well as iron spider lenses improved, perhaps some minor swinging, skill, abilities and gadgets additions, and assuming Peter loses his anti venom suit hopefully, a spider arms rage ability where every attack is using arms liek in the first game, and using the arms in the story more effectively instead of just being a gameplay mechanic

The story dlc being released this late was pretty expected as it seems like that’s Sony’s new plan for reviving their single player games after giving it some time. But man the way they played this compared to GOW with the amount of cliffhangers in the base story was annoying. GOW left very few loose threads so it felt like a welcomed surprise getting one that we didn’t even expect to be tied up, compared to Spider-Man that so many threads you would’ve thought Spider-Man himself swung by. They even left a part of the symbiote storyline as a cliffhanger. How do you expect people not to get a little frustrated when they paid so much to get left with so many unfinished storylines.

I don't think that's the case at all. I think the reason they're frustrated is because the first game had 3 DLC ready to go at launch and they expected the same for Spider-Man 2, but not only did it not happen, Insomniac didn't publicly acknowledge story DLC at all either to confirm it's in the works, or let people know not to expect any, which left people hanging. All the Spider-Man games from Insomniac ended with some sort of cliff hanger so fans are used to that because they know the story will be picked up. in the next game.

Having to stop work in order to do a full inventory of everything that was compromised, find the source of the breach and completely change and upgrade your systems. Then depending on what was compromised, you need to just redo work that you've done previously such as changing the script, recording new lines, and programing all the new changes back into the game. A cyber attack on a tech based company could set them back 6 months or more easily. How could it not? That's not even getting into employees who may have had their data compromised and need to take time to protect themselves

All I want is some REALISTIC suits and new storyline. Theres almost no good suits. They’re all so advanced or stupid comic variation or just look bad. I want some suits that would be smthn this Peter and miles would actually make and wear. Like I’ll only rock the advanced 2 suit and the raimi suits. All the styles are so lazy. And the dlc needs to have some better cutscenes. With sp ps4 I could play it over and over bc u were always jumping into quick and cool action scenes and that made me play so much and stuff. That really lacked this game. Boring ass scenes and there all so calm no much happening. This point I’m just hoping they’ll learn from there mistakes in this game and we get a better Spider-Man 3
