This is honestly one of the best songs I've heard in a long time
@chaseash65582 жыл бұрын
They capture the sadness, the struggles , the acceptance of life and times of a small piece of an era of honesty, in a time of materialism. The sound is timeless as it flows from the hearts of their truth. Magnificent

A few days ago I heard this song, and needed it. It's only been a few days, but I've since signed up for group therapy, seeked the friends and help I needed, cleaned my space, signed up for classes, and feel much better. I know the song didn't do those things, I did, but the song has been so impactful that I've got it on repeat.

These songs on this album are just enmeshed into my family and history at this point. You can tell it's one of those things. If you like this music, don't forget to support the artists on their bandcamp.

I just heard this song today on All Songs Considered. Burst into tears and listened to it over and over. It reminds me of when I first heard Elliott Smith play in a tiny bookstore in Portland. Awe-inspiring. Best song I've heard in a long long time. I want to see you play live, please come to DC! Thank you for making music from the heart. I also love your video, especially the skateboard trick! 🙂💕

Wow, this is so beautiful. The combination of the instrumental and the lead singer’s voice is so melodic and addicting. I also like how the song feels like it comes in waves, how it goes back and forth between soft and quiet, and then it builds up and all the instrumentals and the singer’s voice comes crashing in. I’ve just found this song and replayed it so many times!

The Heartache and love wrapped all in one song brought tears flowing down my face . Very very well done. Hope to see you guys play in Pittsburgh next week . Can't wait . Lyrics: Honey I was wrong. I had to walk down to turn, get a good look at my ways and hell maybe I've learned something from wringing out my shame. I had to lay down with her if just to see...it was the same thing that got me before. Honey I was right. I thought about it all night. I looked the snake right in his face; I've seen the way he blinks that eye at me, but I am not afraid, I've heard we're all gonna die in a cascade of system failure, or in the blink of an eye. Honey I would bet that l'd be just as upset. l'd be at least as mad as you were when we crawled into my bed, oh but I do regret running right up to the red. I hope the waters down in Assateague are clearing your head. Maybe it was wrong to meet you out in State College, as if we were still together, like I was your only option. But l'm not. And you know that I'm not as true as I've thought, But l'd still drive for several hours on a dime if you dropped it.

An absolutely incredible vocalist, could rise to be one of the great folk singers for sure with a voice like that... It's a shame the lead guitarist brings this track down so much (2:46 ouch)... Not trying to be a downer, just some honest criticism, it's how art gets better.
