Differences b/w SA 402 & SAE 3402 @3:40 SA 402 is for user auditor's control point of view & SAE 3402 is for SO's Auditor control point of view. SA 402 - Service provided by Service Org are relevant to audit of user entity FS ,if those services & controls over them are part of user entity’s FR . SAE 3402 -It apply only when SO is responsible for design of controls & does not deal with assurance engagement - • To report only on whether controls operated as described or • To report only on controls other than those relevant to user entities’ IC for FR

Hi Sir, The video was really helpful!! I just have a doubt, how is it decided as to whether provide a Type 1 or Type 2 report by the Service Auditor ? Also, can the statutory auditor of the Service Organization be the Service auditor for the purposes of SAE 3402 ? In case it is some other auditor then can the former rely on the latter's work ?
