She made it clear that all that mattered to her was her future and I don't blame her. I like the part when she didn't try to be friendly with Sooah after everything. I get that she doesn't want to change the kind of relationship that they had built. She doesn't try hard to impress, she always keep her real identity even through her growth. And we can all see that almost everyone, even Sooah, adores that part of her. The look in his eyes since the very first time that she got out of her way to help him, he slowly unattached himself from the other girl and realized it's Yiseo who actually has cared about him all the way. She gains his heart with the little gestures she does in every single scene they are together. The other b*tch though, she was so selfish she did not go out of her path not even ONCE to help him achieve his dream. She accepted a scholarship from the company who actually ruined his "friend" life, got a job in the same company, and believes that the fact that the main character has liked her since the beginning, she actually is over Yiseo. You can actually realize Yiseo did everything for him since the very beginning and takes the best out of him, while the other b*itch all she does is try to tear him down, and just when she loses everything, she realized how far her actions went. But oh too late for that. Yiseo already got the main character since the very beginning without him realizing until he nearly loses her. And, she is 20 while he is 28? I do not see a problem here. My parents are 9 years apart and that is totally find. They are both adults so what. Sorry for the rant though :)

Kim Dami's character set a new standard to the female lead of Kdramas. She proved that leading ladies doesn't have to be introduced as a damsel in distress, that they can be a badass (and sometimes sociopath, lol) and that they can love and be hurt without walking away if the guy doesn't love them back. We need more female leads like her who showed us that it's okay to cry then bounce back again and again as if nothing happen and without holding a grudge to the person she loves for not loving her back. I don't know why some people didn't like the main lead because 'they don't have the chemistry' when all throughout the series i've been screaming at how subtle Saeroyi shows his feelings to Yiseo. I get that he's been saying he likes Soo-Ah but that just it. He actually wasn't in love to Soo-Ah in the first place. It was just pure crush. It was shown in the last episode when he said his mind and heart are all filled with Yiseo, and then he ask YiSeo if that's what she feels the "heart beating". That shows he actually didn't know what being in love is.

I actually really like yi seo, her character is so good it’s not just another cliche. She has more chemistry with saeroyi than soo ah has. Relationships or falling in love isn’t about who you’ve been the longest or who you’re familiar with ( sure that’s the case sometimes ) but it’s about the people who help you become a better version of yourself and love you unconditionally which she showed saeyori. She legit was there to support him and believed his dream can come. I loved them together❤️❤️❤️

Dami's role was like fresh air to me. She showed that all the female lead don't have to act cute or do aeygo to win the lead man's heart. She showed that a lead female can also be a badass woman. I really enjoyed this drama so much. I was quite sick of watching the same all the time like the lead female is trying desperately to act cute and stuff which looked too cheesy and cringy to me sometimes. Im here torturing myself of how I missed the drama cause i cant move on. Saeroyi's journey of healing his scar left a big impact on me that im still carrying it until now. Yiseo's unconditional love for Saeroyi and how she did everything for him and her journey towards Saeroyi's heart is something that my heart will cherish for a long time. JUD SANZ I wouldn’t call Soo Ah a bitch per se. she’s very practical and all about survival and self preservation. I can understand her point of view even if I don’t agree with her or her actions. She obviously prioritize herself over love and I can’t blame her for that. She even admitted to being a coward in the beginning, at least she knows. For all those reasons, I feel like she’s not a good match for Sai Ro-yi. Sai Ro-yi is very dense when it comes to love and affection. But I paid attention to all the subtle cues through slight movements and reactions. They both showed a lot of emotions just through their eyes. I think he started caring for her as a colleague and friend when she started working there. It turned to affection, even if not romantic at first but there was a closeness between them that he does not share with anyone else. Then after the confession from her, I think that’s when his feelings starts to slowly turn from affection for a friend to something more. He just doesn’t know what it is yet because he’s never felt that way. When he finally realizes that it’s love, and he’s opened to accept it, it hit him like a ton of bricks. That’s why when he confessed to her, he said “I can’t believe this. My mind and heart are both filled with you. Is this how you felt? This is very heart beating.” This tells me this is the first time he’s felt something like this and it overwhelmed him. Anyway I can go on and on but, I just love them so much!

Kim Da-mi definitely nailed Yi-seo's characterization! It suits her perfectly. She's the one I always looked forward to in the show 💛 I am really satisfied in the finale that she and Park Saeroyi got together. this is such a good edit. it shows everything that i love about the drama. because there's only one thing that made me love this drama so much and it's the way yiseo loves saeroyi. she loves him unconditionally, without expecting anything in return, just with the hope of the possibility of him loving her back. waiting patiently, loving beautifully, dedicating herself, her heart, her everything to make him happy. just like the way she told soo-ah, i don't think i can ever forget those lines: "rich? i'll make you one. jangga that gives you a hard time? i'll destroy them." she's such a fierce and wonderful character. thanks to her, itaewon class became one of my all-time favourites.

This video made me realize more little things about Saeroyi. First thing, He told Soo-ah that he liked Yi Seo, probably so she wouldn't feel as hurt if he had said he loved her but she probably realized that he did when he said if something happened to Yi Seo he would be truly destroyed. That's still easier than hearing him say he loves someone else,though. He told both Geun-Soo and Soo-ah that he liked Yi Seo but saved the I love you so that Yi Seo could hear it first. Second, he said he couldn't live happy with Soo-ah if he didn't get his revenge but later he was willing to end it to live happy with Yi Seo. Third, when Yi Seo met up with him to prepare the investment contract and he refused to pat her head, he kept both hands in his pocket, turned away quickly, mumbled something and she ran up behind him to catch up, and he acted the same way when they were leaving the hospital and he said that he loved her. I really miss this show.

To those ppl who complained that the ending is bad and the romance is lacking, let me rehash again. In the first place, the focus about this drama is not the romance but it’s abt the male protagonist’s struggles to achieve his dream and fulfill his ultimate revenge, to avenge the death of his father. His dad’s murder was swept under the rug, the killer walked free, he was expelled frm school and became an ex-convict. He became an orphan ffs. He worked his ass off in a fishing vessel for another 8 more years. Came back on shore and opened up a small, struggling pub in the streets of Itaewon. Fior 15 long years, he invested his blood, sweat and tears for his company. He never had a good night sleeps, 15 long years of bitter nights, you think he has the time to be a giddy fool going all shooting 💕 arrows out off his eyes? When Yi-seo came along, he didn’t quite know how to handle her love confession. He made up excuses. He tried hard to deny his feelings. For him, beating Jangga is all that matters. Thank god for Yi-seo’s love and Danbam family’s support, he won. They complete him, thus his 15 long years of bitter nights finally ended. He won without compromising his principles, the core value of his conviction. About his romance with Yi-seo, they’re not the lovey dovey type. Come on, they’re running the number 1 f&b company in SK, you think they have the time to sit on their awesome asses getting all loved up? They had their priorities sorted out. Yi-seo told PSRY, they both don’t warm up to others easily. Hence, the awkwardness. Which is rather sweet actually. Sweet hugs, sweet kisses, subtle skinship. Their love is reflected from the sweet exchanged gazes, soft smiles and hands clasping. There’s no need for passionate kisses and hot bed scenes. Unless it’s in the script and the director tells you to go all out, well then 😂😂. PSRY snagging himself a loving, devoted, smart and capable businesswoman of a girlfriend is the cherry on top. His Danbam family has his back. He’s a top player and a highly respected young businessman in SK. PSRY is winning in life.

I watched the whole Drama, when it first came out and look who is still here :') I watched so many K-Drama series, but not once did one affected me this much. I just can't get over this, cause it was so different and refreshing. And to all the people, who don't like Saeroyi x Yi Seo together, cause of lack of chemistry or whatsoever: go and watch it again. Troughout the whole series, there are SO many little details and hints, that Saeroyi is starting to fall in love with Yi Seo, since she started working in DanBam. Even I couldn't catch all the hints the first time, but after watching it again. And the moment u start catching these little moments between them two, you will understand how big their affection and love towards each other actually is. This Drama was by far the best one I've watched so far.

Some dramas unfortunately tend to overplay it, while IC on the other hand did it just right. But that's just me. IC is such a gem!

This is legit the BEST k drama I've watched and I've watched alot since quaratine....this movie breaks the barriers to so many issues....and the main lead Yi Seo is the best....2 epic moments of the movie...defence (the kiss scene) and the end when she was kidnapped and she ran away leaving the other guy ..... Really good Love well deserved...she was meant for seoryi....when she was 1st introduced in the movie I saw so much of Seoryi in her sooo antisocial...their growth is wonderful...Sooah was only concerned abt herself...she wanted to have her cake and eat it and she wanted Seoryi to do all the work never once has she expressed her feelings or done anything to show him she cared why..plus she was so over confident when it came to seoryi's feelings for her..she knew she wasnt worthy of him....I'm happy seoryi is finally happy long deserved happiness...he has been through alot....they have become a family.... This movie is not just sweet but it's full of life lessons....

From the disappointments, we can all guess why so many relationships are built on facades. Yi Seo knew this man's soul, his scars, he finally told her his long story, that he never talked about (on the bus), his desires and dreams she hates who he hates and fight for him and with him! No, she doesn't have to be sweet and cuddly, she was authentic and completely sold out to him I liked the other girl, but for all the years she knew him, she never really know him. He didn't know her either, they never got passed surface level. It was all infatuation for them.

This is what I wrote in a thesis on why this is such a masterpiece of a show. Even when she gives him the choice to fire her because of her feelings, he cannot. He always admired and loved her but his principles prevented him from going after Geun Soo's love and reneging on promises made to Soo Ah. Yi-Seo was meant to be shown as someone who becomes a better person because of him, and vice versa. He was shown to grow and learn to embrace love, which he did by picking Yi-Seo over his vengeance against Jang Dae-Hee. Soo Ah kept asking for him to meet conditions to deserve her and only blew the whistle after she realizes how lowly Dae Hee valued her years of service and loyalty. There are so many life lessons packed into this show, multiple rewatches aren't enough!

I totally agree with that :)f you really pay close attention, they really have chemistry since the very beginning. The look in his eyes since the very first time that she got out of her way to help him, he slowly unattached himself from the other girl and realized it's Yiseo who actually has cared about him all the way. She gains his heart with the little gestures she does in every single scene they are together. The other b*tch though, she was so selfish she did not go out of her path not even ONCE to help him achieve his dream. She accepted a scholarship from the company who actually ruined his "friend" life, got a job in the same company, and believes that the fact that the main character has liked her since the beginning, she actually is over Yiseo. You can actually realize Yiseo did everything for him since the very beginning and takes the best out of him, while the other b*itch all she does is try to tear him down, and just when she loses everything, she realized how far her actions went. But oh too late for that. Yiseo already got the main character since the very beginning without him realizing until he nearly loses her. Sorry for the rant though :)

Yi-Seo’s Smart n strong willed character (though a brat n d beginning) s fitting to that of Saeroyi’s kind heart yet determined n hard working👍this moving story s not d Cinderella type but logically, a more realistic one👍 Saeroyi has already admired Yi-Seo (from d start when she said, “I want to be with U because of my gut feeling”) then Yi-Seo proved herself n d process with out backing down no matter how difficult d circumstances were. She was there completely w Saeroyi d whole time even after rejection(my heart broke for her) I so loved her confidence because she can tackle d work at any given situation n time. People who dislike her and don't understand why she end up with Saeroyi are just crazy lmao.... Soo ahh in 15years didn't even do 1% of what this girl have done for the man she love in less than 5 years. The princess in distress role that had Soo ahh annoyed me. I mean, her more than anyone else should have fight by his side against Jangga who killed the one she considered like her own father and destroyed the life of the man she love. But no... instead she worked for them for like a decade and asked for him to save her by destroying Janga... She knew Saeroyi loved her but choose do to nothing and pretended to waiting for him to became rich... wtf. we have a girl who just wants to secure her future, and another who sacrifices her entire life for a guy she knew didn't love her back then...UNCONDITIONNAL LOVE. Plus I find that they have much more chemistry on screen. Oh and for those who think that Soo ahh was a better person than Yi-Seo, just remind you that she was the type of people who didn't gave a care bout bully in school, and that she worked for a company she knew was corrupted as hell, the excat opposite of Yi-Seo.

Some wanted Saeroyi to end up with Soo Ah, but I find her character more selfish than YiSeo. She accepted money & worked for years for that company for personal gain. She only exposed them at the end, bc she felt guilty & wanted to pay back the debt to Saeroyi's father. She did this for herself, not out of love for Saeroyi. On the contrary, we see a HUGE character development in YiSeo. Despite being rejected from him, she doesn't quit, stays & helps him for many years without expecting him to love her. And I was very happy he released &-accepted his feelings for her at last!

I like how everyone is arguing about who should have ended up with him. So many love the other girl, soo-ah. But can we talk about how she set herself up to be his plan B? Like she gathered all that information all while he continued to claim he would take down the company. So a part of her thought he could do it all alone and really was waiting until he got his revenge, but when things went haywire she FINALLY had to make a choice which in hindsight she did only because the chairman taunted her about how he had gained control over her, tamed her because she feared him. He mocked her tears for him. At the end she said it was all for Mr. Park (father of Seoroyi) because she promised to pay him back triple. All unbeknownst to Park-Seoroyi. So who's fault really is it that he ended up with Yi-seon? Soo-Ah didn't plan to stand next to him as he tore down the company instead was going to wait for it to be over and have Park-Seoroyi come to her (rich and make her quit) while Yi-seo said, "fuck that" and took a stance next to him. While Park-Seoroyi accepted Soo-Ah actions and tried to be indifferent he couldn't. The small things she did and didn't do chipped away at his feelings for her even if he didn't realize it himself yet. Park-Seoroyi already liked Yi-seon from the beggining, but didn't accept it. In the episode when he tells Yi-seon not too like him and she runs off we assume that it's true. Then as the years go by she forced her way into his heart (as many like to put it), but that isn't the case. When he gets hurt he reminisces on Yi-seo and says that if something happens to her then he would always regret that moment (when he told her to stop liking him and she ran off) proving that he had feelings for her from the beggining as everyone else had already realized it even Soo-Ah. So, yeah, I think things turned out the way they were supposed to be lol

I’m so n love with Yi Seo’s character like i jus love that she wasn’t codependent & actually had a backbone !🥰 I honestly didn’t expect them to end up together but i rooted for them if that makes sense🥺😭I loved the ending !! & that kisss😍😱DON’t even get me starteddd😋🤐
