Considering Anwars class and style , he shud have gotten more test runs. Man simply had no patience, he is athe perfect ODI player like Tendulkar but not so much in tests. This is where Lara trumps both the players. Ability to score runs freely and bat for long time. Used their feet beautifully. Scores most of their runs in sixes and boundaries .

Opening in test cricket in those days was crazy hard. Facing the best bowlers with the new ball. Also Anwar averaged like 60 against Australia dominating the great Australian attack even in Australia. That's some feat as an opener.

There was a time when black caps were whipping boy for Pakistan team, Pakistan would always win the test series New zealand(6 series win), even shoaib Akhtar has a bowling average of 5.4 against Kiwis and now we have Sarfraz who last the test series against kiwis in UAE.
