Fair point, but also consider this: Saenchai has achieved a level of mastery in Muay Thai where he often knocks out his opponents, especially when they are not near his level. This guy took a beating but was still concious and ready to continue when the final round ended.

I might have read somewhere, might be wrong, that Saenchai fights younger, less accomplished opponents these days to give them an opportunity. Also, I think since Saenchai is getting old and taking on low skill opponents from time to time is a good way to keep in fighting shape without getting hurt.

As for choosing weaker opponents, I don't know and can't confirm.. But whatever he does now, won't affect much as he's already a legend..
