I purchased one at Costco but I am confused because mine is supposed to be 3000/6000 W and you were saying yours is 900 W

This is a very good "end user" perspective review. Congratulations. Letting benefits (what it does for YOU) drive the train instead of features (technical stuff) while being able to discuss features when appropriate is the right strategy for most gear reviews. But it is actually fairly rare when it comes to radios, power equipment, digital technology, etc. Very smart!

Question. I just purchased this unit for a cabin application. You mentioned a dog bone for continuous…. How do I split circuits for microwave, tv, and lights
@HintonTheTrail7 ай бұрын
If you need more than the two standard ac sockets you could use a splitter or an adapter. When we wanted to run more than two items we just grabbed one of it power strips and plugged that in. We shut some things off when using microwaves, coffee pots, and other things that use a lot of power for a short duration.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to present and explain. I keep trying your code, but to no avail. Any way you could update to get 15% off the new unit? Much appreciated.
@HintonTheTrail21 күн бұрын
Hi Mark, it may be because they're currently running a Black Friday deal offering 30% off if you order by December 2nd. I think the Safari is actually 32% off. Much better than our 15% ha ha. Using this link will take you there: lionenergy.com/discount/hintonthetrail?redirect=%2Fpages%2Fholiday-sale%3Fafmc%3D1ic%26D1ic%26Dleaddyno%26Daffiliate

WOW, I was all unboard, this is amazing... and then you said the price, and my jaw dropped. BUTT, 15% off of that price is actually a HUGE SAVINGS, so. I wish I had the extra cash right now, I really like this setup, and I LOVE your run down on it. You sold me on it, now I just need to sell a kidney, LOL.

😂😂 don’t give up an organ for it. The price is high but so much cheaper than dumping $15,000 on a solar setup. We love that it’s portable and we can take it with us if we get rid of the RV for something else. Wish we’d had it when we boondocked for 4-weeks in Key West!!

Can you connect solid roof mounted Solar pannels to it? I'm thinking of using someting like this for a smaller trailer with two motorcycle battery tenders and a few lights.

As long as they have the Anderson connections you should be able to.

I'm not familiar with this brand but I bought a Bluetti AC 200 max kit because of the 30 amp plug. I leave my RV plugged into the Bluetti in my barn, don't have a 30 amp plug out back, and have a regular 110 extension cord running into the Bluetti. This way I can run one of my AC units with no problem almost continuously. The output while the AC is running would eventually drain the Bluetti if I tried to run it for a couple of days straight. It also allows me to run the microwave in the RV AND the AC simultaneously. We haven't used it much on the road because we don't do any boondocking. We have tried it out and it will run what we need. Our system came with 3, 200 watt panels so a little easier to set up than the 6 panels. Price was right around the same. I bought it for the portability. I can camp with it, run a power tool down by the lake to repair a dock, or have it in my house in a power outage(that hasn't happened lately).

How long generaly would this generator with xp power my home refrigerator? Keeping door closed a lot during power outage.
@HintonTheTrail2 ай бұрын
It depends on the power needs of the fridge. See our other response to your previous question.

Do you still use this? How is it working? thanks for your video!
@HintonTheTrail Жыл бұрын
We’re no longer RVing but we use it in our house. We are in Maine and lose power a lot so it’s helped keep lights on, fridge running, and phones charged many times. We used it quite a few times in the RV and it was very nice to have.

Solar can be expensive, confusing, and once installed something that you can't take with you. Finding a solar option that worked with our lives, and within our budget, has been high on our priority list and the Safari ME Deluxe Kit really surprised us with its capabilities. Are you looking for solar power to change how you RV?
@GimpyCamper2 жыл бұрын
I love my lion energy batteries. I personally think it’s better to have the individual components as if something happens with this, you are out batteries and an inverter. In some cases it makes sense but for the same size system I think it would also be less expensive to get the individual components. You could still do the solar suitcases if you wanted.
@HintonTheTrail2 жыл бұрын
You're talking buying each of these products separately or actually building/installing a comparable solar setup?
@GimpyCamper2 жыл бұрын
@@HintonTheTrail I’m talking about getting all separate components such as installing but you can even install them in milk crates. I plan on taking my installed system every step of the way except the solar panels. I’m just saying you can buy an equivalent system to install for less with individual components that can be changed out in failure rather than a whole system that fails. When your talking 10k it’s a system that is superior than this. I cringe at the term solar generator because it doesn’t generate anything. It has a charge controller and inverter in it like any other system. That being said, if I wanted an all in one system, this is what I would pick.
@GimpyCamper2 жыл бұрын
According to the conversions because it’s strange that companies market batteries in amp hours and all in one systems in amp hours, the 3000 watt hours is about 250 amp hours. So this is roughly the capacity of about 2.5 of the safari ut 1300’s which have been great batteries for me
@HintonTheTrail2 жыл бұрын
Ahh, makes sense. Good input for folks looking at different options!
@HintonTheTrail2 жыл бұрын
The watts to amp hours can be confusing and you really have to take a look at what you're using. Every device and piece of equipment has different draws. A lot of people just think I have a lot of power with a certain battery. Definitely need to look those things when making a decision. Good info!

Look like I may be late to the party, Not good with electrical calculations. My biggest concern is how long generally would this generator with XP power my refrigerator. Depends, yes.. keeping refer door closed as much as possible during power outage. Ok with alternating other appliances micro, computers, coffee. At night would only use one led light cpap and fridge.
@HintonTheTrail2 ай бұрын
It all depends on the power consumption of each appliance. We have a lot of outages here in Maine and use this as our indoor backup. We’ve run a large Samsung fridge/freezer for over 14-hrs while also running a lamp. It still had power left after that time but we got power back and didn’t need it anymore. Obviously if you’re running multiple appliances, charging phones, etc, it’ll run out faster.

No it doesn’t. That was in the review as one of the items we’d like changed. You can dog bone down though and it works. We use it inside a lot to power electronics and appliances. It works great.
