I have been using dawn and a green scrubby to wash my stone shower floor. I do this every couple of days, is this an ok thing to do?

I have travertine kitchen countertops that have many dull areas and spots and ring marks. Former owner used “Zep “cleaner which she says keep it shinny. Can the dull spots or etched spots be removed and how and how do you prevent that from happening besides obviously using the right cleaning product. Mainly concerned about cooking and spills from oils, vinegars , any food product getting on the travertine.? Thank you! Lisa Bergstresser

CLR makes a product specifically for travertine.

My bathroom marbles have some marble glue, can I use acetone to remove it? Also, I’d like to double make sure that is Mr. clean safe to use on Marble? Thanks a lot!

So was mr.clean (not majic eraser) okay to use on natural stone?
@Scottsdaletravertinepolishing6 жыл бұрын
Yes it was. Just be sure to dilute it and test on a small area just to be sure! Mr Clean is ammonia based. Ammonia is an alkaline so you are safe using Mr. Clean. :)

Is comet powder with bleach safe on honed travertine? Thanks
@Scottsdaletravertinepolishing5 жыл бұрын
MARI Hey Mari thanks for the question. I’m not totally sure. You will want to read what ingredients you can off of the label to see if there is anything that is acidic. Bleach is totally safe but I don’t know about the actual Comet powder itself. Do you have an extra tile in your garage that you can test it out on first?

thank you for making the video but: 1: why did you use professionally sealed tile to demonstrate products? most $150K/ year or less residential homeowner don't have the quality of finish. 2: why did you go over the same test spots with opposing products? 3: if you purchased products from Home Depot, why did you not choose "Rejuvenate" or ZEP or BONA to test? 4: you leave alot of question marks in testing which were unresolved in my opinion. -a) worn tile with clean-up and re-polishing, -b) protecting post cleaning, -c) and general daily maintenance -d) effects of "swiffer" products AND IN GENERAL:: fixes for the "oops, I used the wrong product" scenarios, which we have ALL been exposed to..

patrick holcomb you’re right about leaving a lot of questions. I don’t have a ton of time to give educational classes to people on how to care for their floors. I’m in the field working nearly everyday. I wanted to give a quick overview of what not to use. We don’t work on small jobs. 95% of our jobs are highly polished floors as the sample finish shows. Thx for the feedback.

What do you think is the best cleaner for a limestone tiled bathroom? You seem to know your stone cleaners!

I do not get this video. You are putting one product over the same one used before. Also, you need to have something dirty like grout to show how it cleans, This is not helpful to me at all, sorry.
