I always consider myself a very respectable outdoorsman and feel I treat fish better than I do people! But then I see a video like this and realize I can do better,,, thank you for the video

It’s not your fault. I blame 40 years of bass fishing on TV that claim to be professionals but couldn’t even look at first chapter of the first book of any fisheries biology program in the country. Now misinformation in bass fishing is completely out of control and facts are mocked. Thanks for following 👊

This is amazing info. Should be mandatory when getting a fishing license to see a short video like this. People, pros included swing em around way too much. Ive been guilty in the past, too. Thanks man!

Short and concise, but valuable information to help all anglers sustain fisheries for the long term.

I’m experimenting with different video lengths to see which ones get the most traction.

I wanted to ask this during your live stream, but it seemed to go off topic there: How long can a bass be safely out of water for documentation purposes (weight, length, girth, ect). I know the obvious answer is a minimal as possible. Does putting it in and out of water have long term negative effects? Meaning it’s taken out, documented, put back in for a minute or two, taken out again for pictures, and then released I tend to rush through the documentation process and often times forget information, due to me not wanting to harm the bass. However I often see others, keep a fish out of water in what seems like an excessive amount of time. I hope this makes sense, but it’s a bit of information I don’t think is ever addressed. In my mind, keeping a bass out of water is similar to us not being able to breathe. But even humans , have a +/- time limit they can struggle to breathe.

I think 1 minute or under. Hold your breathe while it’s out of the water. By then time you want to breathe the fish certainly does, it was just in a fight. Another reason I like the nets. If it takes a long time getting the hook out, just return the fish to the net for a few minutes. Then grab data and photos and release
