I'll admit, it being an Overwatch collab threw me off a bit, the song doesn't really fit the game's vibe imo, but I actually love the song itself. I double checked with hubby who is more of a fan of the game than I ever was and he doesn't get why it's a collab, either lol. That said, the song is stuck in my head already, especially after seeing JK's Tiktok with them. I'm just not a fan of the MV, because it seems so mismatched with Overwatch. Kinda wish they'd make a separate MV.

God done by NEWJEANS was a much better fit for LE SSERAFIM Perfect Night however is a 100% PERFECT FIT for NEWJEANS. Its exactly the type of lyrics, MV and style of upbeat music they would do as a regular song. Even the song time is consistent with the average times of NEWJEANS songs. Gods is 4:15 minutes long and its a powerful song that requires strong voices. While Hanni and Dani have the strongest voices, their pitches are on the higher side even when they sing with strength. If you listen to LS's last few songs, they are highly produced and strong songs with strong lyrics. This is not a LS song. Don't get things twisted, this song is great but its just so odd they did such a song that sounds exactly like a NEWJEANS clone song. Remember both NJ and LS are under Hybe and they are told what songs to do...

"Perfect Night" doesn't sound that out of place with LS. It's more in line with their b-sides than title tracks, IMO. I agree that NJ would sound good on "Perfect Night" but at the same time, that's why people were shocked at "Gods" because people didn't expect that kind of sound from NJ and they were able to pull it off. Obviously, that's not their main sound but for a one-off collaboration, it's good.

Perfect Night is very much a Le Sserafim B-side song, actually. If you have checked their album discography, it goes in line with their other songs. But I do get what you mean, since people are more exposed to the 2 groups' title tracks, that's why they compare these songs to the other.

I mean this difference of opinions right. Yunjin worked on this song as well so I think this song fits perfectly w le sserafim. Also yes they’re under hybe but two different companies under it and different management. I don’t know the extent of how much creative freedom Nj has w they’re work. I don’t follow them as much as I do Le Sserafim. But, from my understanding Bang Pd let’s the girls explore writing their music and what not. They’re songs are based on them and interviews they’ve done w their creative team. So this song seems them to me. I’m all for artists to explore different genre styles.
