I agree with you about the "LOONA sound". I have also felt transported to a different surreal but nice world and even something other than ordinary K-pop. IMO, 'Pose' achieved the same thing, although the way it was staged in the Queendom transported you to a ordinary material world, perhaps too realistic?

Really like your thought of loona sound!! Although there are concepts I am less preferred I find myself still love those songs anyway because they all have the loona vibe But I can't really express it precisely until you said loona songs always take us away from the reality and that's exactly what I felt!! Yeah Loona's sounds is about the feelings that we can't explain with words. Some orbits doesn't even understand what it means when we said 'Loona's sounds'. They thought we're talking about genre itself.

Love the monologue on the LOONA sound. I agree. If I tried to define it (keeping in mind I'm not a trained musician), it's very present, artfully deployed percussion, quirky melodic lines and/or chord progressions, addictive vocal ad libs, the use of bright instrumentation but always grounded with either subtle or not so subtle bass lines, and all that leads to an overall effect of enticement. It's like: this is super catchy pop but it's also a bit different and rewards closer examination.

Out of all the reactions I've watched so far. You're the only one that notice that the bridge looks like it's upside down. I was like "Am I tripping? Am I the only one?" I really wonder the significance of it. Maybe because the title is Flip That and the caption at the end also said "Everything is flipped" but also we have a lot of reference to Choerry's Love Cherry Motion with the purple trees in the middle like the one grows upside down in Choerry dimension portal. We also see a few light-reflecting mirrors. And that's kind of like her power because she's a bat that hang upside down, right?. LOONA the Lore 🤯 #LOONA #FlipThat

Somehow this MV feels like a positive "Dont do drugs"-commercial...like they are on a train and OHye eats a 'magical' lollipop and whoopsie they are in a dreamy forest with magical butterflies?

The rough idea of the theory: This whole sequence is a dream. Just like what Star was. This is basically like a utopian illusion from Olivia's daydream. As you can see, the moment she dropped the lollipop and it shone, she was transported to this fairytale like setting with her and the girls being free-opposite (or FLIPPED) to what is in the reality of the mess that is loonaverse. That is actually one of the reasons why the color grading is very saturated, almost dreamlike. According to the album description "in the completely different space that unfolds after closing and reopening the eyes for a moment, the girls dream a sweet midsummer night's dream". And towards the end when Heejin finally handed Olivia hye the dropped lollipop, they all came back to the reality where they continue the journey towards freedom (the one thing that loonaverse lore always centers around).

Perfect timing!! I've been so excited for this in general, but I'm so glad the mv and your reaction have dropped now. Because I live in Saint Paul, Minnesota and we are currently having a 3-4 day heat wave with an excessive heat warning because the real feel is 106-107 degrees. I do not like very hot weather. So I will go outside 'with Loona' in this mv, but not in real life. I've got this & the Kep1er 'Up' mv reaction from you, TooGrown has reacted to Stray Kids 'Your Eyes' & 'Circus' mvs - life is pretty good. If you haven't reacted to those 2 Stray Kids mvs, you totally should. And I may be able to go to a Dreamcatcher concert b/c they are actually doing one in Minneapolis! And tickets are pretty cheap (I still need to borrow from family, but it's more likely to happen). But back to Loona who are giving me life today. Also they are attacking me with vocals & visuals. The flowers and gardens and soft pastel look - I've been recently re-watching Gfriend and Apink mvs so this is the visual mood I was wanting. And Loona delivered!! As they always do. Also - I saw 'Carol 2.0' in the mv (will we get another christmas song from them? I ask with hope in June). #InstantAdditionToPlaylist

well after first day they did great. i mean awesome. tripled first day sales record, best pre order sales ever, album 1 place in US itunes (7th in a row -record for girls groups), already 20+ 1st on itunes all over the world. the youtube view is going slow, but was expected, if god gives one win please, it was everything we wanted and more.
