This was my favorite city in Israel. If i lived there I would just study torah and play my guitar. I would be so happy even if I had very little money

1. Thank you for the tour and video. 2. How did your “wrap(?)” meal taste? 3. Thank you for the tour of the synagogue...especially discussing the different parts. Thanks to the synagogue for letting you film it. 4. How did they describe Kabbalah before cell phones?
@IsraelwithDavidHyman3 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, thanks for watching and noticing every detail... very much appreciated that folks out there are showing interest. The "Yemenite wrap is called Lahuch and was delicious. Its has string cheese flavours and spicy. Great question about Kabbala.. haha. My answer is that Kabbala is an attempt to explain the secrets of creation (birth and death) by searching for clues and answers hidden within the biblical texts and interpretations. How and who ignites our soul? When? When one dies, what happens to all our knowledge? Our experience? Our feelings? Where does it go?
@jwhippet83133 жыл бұрын
The wrap meal was the most Safed thing ever: The hippy dude who wanted to give his message so earnestly it required a camera cut then explaining how his wrap is baked not fried while clearly frying it uncovered in a frying pan was too much. The best part was, "It has no oil," followed 30 seconds later by, "Now I add some oil."

I really enjoyed that visit - it looks like a great community to live in, too. That blue is familiar to southerners in the USA. Traditionally, we put blue on buildings (doors, windows, and especially porch ceilings). We call it "haint blue" which is an old way of spelling "haunt." It was to ward off evil, as in the case of this city you visited. Thank you for sharing yet another interesting place to visit!
@IsraelwithDavidHyman3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your wonderful comment. I was no aware that the blue color has the same use in South US. I wonder how it arrived? Maybe with North African immigrants?
