for GTA IV, playboy's penthouse has a little area on the roof you can walk out onto after taking the elevator up to the safehouse, and up there police can shoot at you from the street, from helicopters, and even from another roof across from you, but as far as I'm aware they can't enter the safehouse, unless they like repel down from a helicopter onto the rooftop area but I haven't seen that happen

Actually GTA San Andreas, LCS, Vice City Stories and CTW buildings interior made in another dimension. When you stop on the blip or stop the character enters to another dimension that's why cops could not enter there.

With the first safe house in Grand Theft Auto 4 I remember experimentally throwing a Molotov cocktail at the door and then just waiting there to see if they would come up... after 15 minutes of waiting and a few dozen explosions it turns out that the cops keep trying to get through the door,not noticing the Flaming bodies on the floor and catching on fire themselves and eventually the pile of bodies leading to the cop cars outside...

Funniest thing about the safehouse is when u go to sleep your wanted level.would just disappear and the cops wouldn't do anything while u were sleeping lool like u didn't wake up in a jail cell or nothing just remain in the safehouse lol
