Here because I’m 37 weeks with my 2nd baby and husband was the one who installed our Doona with our first. My nesting phase wants to include knowing how to install this car seat properly because there were a couple of times I noticed it becoming a little loose and I could not for the life of me figure it out. I’ve had to always ask my husband to fix it lol

It's not bad! If you have a base for each vehicle, you only have to install it once, and then you just click the infant seat into the base each time you get into the vehicle.

You are only allowed to use one or the other. Using both is forbidden by the manufacturer.

So helpful, thank you!!! For the European install I had issues getting the seat belt off when I wanted to remove the seat. Ended up having to take the baby out and then twisting and turning the seat to get it free from the unbuckled strap since it was locked around the back. Any tips to avoid this so I don’t have to juggle a baby and a seat separately?

Hold the shoulder belt tightly the entire time, so it doesn't retract. Unbuckle the seat belt. Rotate the infant seat either slightly towards or away from you while unwrapping the shoulder belt from the back and then remove the lap belt portion from the belt guides.

Looking into buying a Doona. Does it fit well in all vehicles? In other words, does it take up more space than other car seats? I want to make sure it's going to fit in my X3 before purchasing.

It's one of the bigger infant seats front to back.

Method 3 cannot be used with European cars as they don’t have the seatbelt locking mechanism available on US cars.

Although it is called European routing, this is a baseless installation that can be used in American and Canadian vehicles. With a locking clip, you can do this method in a European vehicle.

Probably a silly question but after installing the European way without the base, the baby goes in before or after? It’s a little awkward to slide her in after but it’s doable.

Whichever you prefer is fine. The people who had a wiggly base were either not installing the seat right and/or they were checking for movement in the wrong place.

I have this stroller. I find it very difficult when winter is here and the baby is bundled up. It's challenging for the baby to fit in the stroller. He starts to cry, and I feel he's very uncomfortable. I'm unsure if it's the cushion that came with the stroller or if I should remove it. Could fix comfortable

Baby should not be bundled up when harnessed in a car seat. You have to remove the layers, it's not safe. Harness baby properly and then you can tuck a blanket around them

Hi. Thank you for this video. I installed the base on a level surface and the white ball was fully in the green. However, I’m parked on a hill and the white ball slightly rolls into the red area on one side, but the other side is in the white. Is this a problem? Thank you again.

You can look in your vehicle owner's manual, sometimes it will say a range you can use for car seats.

No, this is a rear-facing-only seat. Once this seat is outgrown, you need a convertible car seat. In the convertible car seat, your child will continue to rear face until they reach the max rear-facing limits of the seat, which will be somewhere between 40-50 pounds and 40-49" depending on the seat that you choose. safeintheseat.com/sits-recommended-car-seats/

Hold the seat belt so that it doesn't go into the retractor. And while holding it, unbuckle the seat belt. Unwrap it from the back first and then you can remove the rest from the belt guides.

Yes, you use the blue lock-off on the opposite side of where you buckled in the seat belt
