Connecting a burner to a propane the first time can make some people uncomfortable. Hope this video helps to make the connection and lighting process safe and easy.

I’m just going to wait until my dad does it for me. I’m afraid I’m going to blow myself up 😂😂😂

That is understandable. Dealing with propane can be a little nerve wracking. 😀

Can I leave the regulator hose attached to the propane tank when not in use? of course both the regulator hose and propane tank will be turned off.
@cookingwithcoastalcaterers Жыл бұрын
Yes, that is not a problem. We leave burners hooked up until it is time to fill the tank again.

do you want the air holes open or closed on the thing itself to get a nice blue flame? I found one of these in the trash and cant get it to settle its a complete out of control high red flame im not sure if its broke lol.
@cookingwithcoastalcaterers2 жыл бұрын
You want the baffler open to get more air for a blue flame. What you are describing sounds like a bad regulator, though. They are only a few dollars to fix if you can separate it from the hose and replace the regulator. You must replace the hose and regulator for most new burners because they are one piece. Hope this helps.

Is there a good way to not have it sound like a jet engine??
@cookingwithcoastalcaterers2 ай бұрын
Maybe not turn the flame up too high. It might take a little longer to cook something, but it would not be as loud. Hope this helps you out. Thanks for watching!

@@cookingwithcoastalcaterers mine had an adjustable regulator would adjusting that help or does it need to be adjusted at the tank? Thanks for replying.
@cookingwithcoastalcaterers2 ай бұрын
@@gypsiehunter12 Does your regulator(silver disc) have a red knob on that turns? If that is what you have then you adjust the amount of pressure by turning the red control knob up or down. I hope this what you meant.
@gypsiehunter122 ай бұрын
@@cookingwithcoastalcaterers yes it’s a silver disk with red knob
@cookingwithcoastalcaterers2 ай бұрын
@@gypsiehunter12 So the red control knob controls the volume of gas and how much flame you will have. Close your control knob all the way. Then light your lighter and slowly turn the control knob open. After your burner ignites, then just use the control knob to turn the flame up or down.. It sounds like your control knob is fully open and this why you are getting some much volume coming out.
