We use water to check the cylinder ,if it is not leak you cant smell or hear it bcus there is a pin inside of top .when pin go down then u smell and hear of gas.

A cylinder will not blow until its getting heavy heat from outside which is very rare in domestic area but it will catch fire if any spark in gas leakage but won't blow up. See some videos how to control fire if cylinder has catched it and always keep a little fire extinguisher at your home at the time of emergency. Stay safe

Please note it the rubber washer is present inside the mouth of the cylinder it's the major reason for avoiding leaking of cylinder gas if it's not present the leaking of gas didn't stop it always slowly leak to the atmosphere

You can spray soapy water on the regulator area and pipe if there’s any leaks you will see bubbles also you can smell the gas

Whenever there's a gas leakage always first try to switched off the regulator and unplug it and then again plug it to make sure gas is not leaking. If still it's leaking then just unplug the regulator and put the safety white cap on the cylinder and call for gas agency to replace the cylinder. Most probably chances are that the cylinder is damaged or the some gas is already been removed during the delivery.

Never tight fill the gas If it says 14kg stay at half kg less on refills Generally it's not the cylinder that blasts it's the leaked gas that ignite on lighting stove Always put the cylinder in well ventilated area never air tight the kitchen

What country do you live in? Here in India, these reinforced LPG gas hose pipes come with 5yrs of lifespan from manufacturing date, so always install the newest. Also the metal clamps one on each end is equally important for the entire system.
