Good idea. I was looking to build something like that, nice to see someone beat me at it lol. You could also add sensors around the edge that would let certain people. ex: qualified tech / engineering to override the safety switch, the sensor could be triggered by RFid tags in proprietary safety boots or something. (no idea if patent already exist tho)

Hello. Do you have a model that's about 5"x12" to be placed on steps? I think I know the answer but I'll ask anyway: can the 12x12 model be cut and rewired into two?
