I think I have a phobia of gas cylinders. Safety rules seem to be quite easy to follow, though. I hope they don't explode without a reason.

The only reason that you would have an issue like that is by not following safety procedures and never use oil on tanks to protect them from rust or cleaning. NEVER, oil can damage the seals on a cylinder and you can have a chemical that will cause boom . I hope that helps.

What would happen if I opened the valve on a 125 cubic feet canister of 100% Argon gas without anything attached to it? No regulator,etc
