Not sure why the killing of over 100 Pakistanis was brushed off like this. The entire segment was based off of assumptions like it was just 'the latte crowd' or 'they didn't go to the capital' (both untrue btw) discrediting what happened and the circumstances under which these people were killed. The lights were switched off, protestors were attacked from every direction, and there was a complete social media blackout. Would this be taken more seriously if more people had died? Would it still be important if no one died and the 'government' was successfully overthrown? For a podcast that regularly discusses the affairs of the ummah, all we ask was for this issue to be given a little more thought and a lot more compassion.
@ShiQ-gc5tx2 күн бұрын
The “latte crowd” may have been a marginally correct description a few years ago but with the election results, you can safely say IK enjoys popular appeal across segments. His party governs a province that is about as far away from being a “latte crowd” as is possible. Dr Shadee, spare the time to look up the names and faces of those who were killed please.

Despite titling this talk “Pakistan fiasco” (itself a belittling title), Dr Shadee treated this grave event, now known as the Islamabad massacre, so lightly. I was truly shocked by this lack of compassion for the brown ummah, especially when the blood of the martyrs has probably not even dried.
@ShiQ-gc5tx2 күн бұрын
Agreed! We love Dr Shadee and other teachers but the one thing that I and several friends who have been horrified with the unfolding events, notice how little the big names are either unaware or choose to pass this by like any other event in the country…
@ShiQ-gc5tx2 күн бұрын
Shaykh, i’m happy the brother you were discussing with tried to give you the majority Pakistani perspective about the issue, but when riots erupted in the UK, you brought on people like Paul W to talk about it. Would have been nice to do something like that rather than brush it aside. It almost sounded like 100 people getting cut down by live fire was too little and Imran Khans fault for not “cutting” a deal on the inside. Politics aside, I did request Dua Maghfirah too. We are 240million majority Muslim country. Heartbreaking
@picklenugget19602 күн бұрын
We can't expect Dr. Shadee to be updated on every political situation taking place in other nations. I'm sure he was just unaware of all the details. Even when the Bangladesh protests were going on, Shaykh had limited knowledge of it which is understandable considering he is not a political analyst or has any ties to the subcontinent. And since when was Pakistan considered the brown ummah? What about the rest of the Muslims in the subcontinent?
@shamon242 күн бұрын
He appears on podcasts to discuss politics relating to the ummah so I expected at least more seriousness than this. Ignorance about a matter does not justify what honestly felt like a jeering commentary about the protesters and their grievances. I specifically mentioned brown ummah bc the jeering tone bordered on an arrogance towards Pakistanis. I’m not Pakistani btw.

With all due respect, may Allah preserve our ummah in every place, but Pakistanis don't exactly have a history of unifying with the struggles of the Ummah. Over the years, I've heard Pakistanis call afghans beggars and terrorists, ignore the plight of Palestinians, yemenis, sudanese, and Syrians. When you don't have rahma for your brothers, exclude people from your all Urdu halaqas, develop masjid boards to exit non Pakistani imams, etc. Then it's really hard to ignore your separation. When non Muslim schools allow solidarity with Palestine, but pakistani run Islamic schools don't, you can't expect not to be tested.

I am a Pakistani but never new about that. OIC was founded by the efforts of Pakistan, but seeing it's failure, I can agree that we failed to contribute towards ummah. But InshaAllah, their will be a revival. Their is an increased trend of learning Arabic and Islamic sciences, which will inshaAllah strengthen our bond with the ummah.

@terrymcginnis01Күн бұрын
Actually, Nurse Practitioner is title bestowed upon nurses who have earned a Master’s degree and completed additional clinical training that qualifies them to become certified in one or more specialties. Nurse Practitioners may prepare at the master’s level or they can earn a DNP degree. A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is a post-master’s degree, also known as a terminal degree. A DNP degree program prepares nurses for roles in advanced clinical practice and healthcare leadership. A DNP degree is on par with a Doctor of Philosophy, or a PhD degree in nursing, but the DNP focuses on nursing practice rather than research.
