this is 100% right. my brother and i were heavily in the music industry and my brother died in a car accident and wasnt able to release his album. i made two albums and decided to trash it and quit too scared to release it. i recognized that Allah was trying to guide me through this life crisis. 20K in the whole from the music game and Sony said they want to rebrand me to sign me. i quit the game cause i realized this is not my purpose no matter how gifted i can be. dunya isnt worth it, any material gain to compromise faith. im in my 30s so this guys words hit home - the crisis was the only way i would stop making music even if it was meant to enlighten and be spiritual music, the risk is too high if its forbidden. instead I plan to recite Quran instead in the future after studying and learning insh'Allah. yanked off the path of sin and placed on the path of no sin but through sever pain and suffering Alhamdullilah Allah is the best of planners and knows what is best for you, have patience
