Czech glass is just a higher quality glass (it’s also called crystal glass). So it’s still a glass/crystal nail file but the Czech republic is known for having some of the strongest and most durable glass in the world. It’s kind of like when maple syrup specifies it’s made in Canada because Canada is known to have some of the best maple syrup. It’s just assuring you that it’s not cheap or low quality glass.hope this helps clear up some confusion ☺️

My mooncat black double sided nail file chipped with the smallest tap against my sink basin. My holo taco file can take that with no issue. There's a difference.

The thing about Bat B*tch is that while it is not a one coater, it's SUPER easy to clean up without getting black shadows in the cuticle, and I never wear one coat anyway, so I use it in 3 coats as a base for toppers when I need a Thicc mani.

The thing about that file is that while it is one sided, it's a hell of a lot better than any other file I own, needs less cleaning, files faster and cleaner, even compared to double-sided holo taco regular files. I will cry when mine breaks, and I don't care about the color.

Thank you for pointing out the one-sided nail file! I missed out on the complete collection and was so bummed out, I never knew I needed a black nail file until I then. Got lucky on ebay though with a black 2 sided nail file, for some reason it's even patented, maybe the different grits. Now I have to find myself one of those tiny glass vials too and I'm good. PS: Brucie looks way less green than the other shade.

Spirit Fingers is too pretty. I'm not guna lie I was sleeping on the creme, but it is a purple creme so most likely there is a dupe out there for it. Thank you!

I opted out of the Safiya collection but purchased the entire Down To Earth bundle. Not Pressed and Brick Wall are my favorites.

I got the regular HT glass nail file and BOY did i also underestimate the tinyness of the nail file too. Curse Cristine's dainty hands yet again!!! Hahaha Its still good just was so shocked by how tiny it was compared to how it looked. It really makes sense now why HT uses the skinny brushes for most of their polishes, Cristine's nails must be sooo slim!

Really appreciated the honesty and constructive criticism 🖤 Personally I was a bit disappointed with this collection, though it is very pretty, I feel like they could've done a bit more with Safiya's crazy franken experiments and at least put the bat glitters in a small jar like nail glitter usually is. Haven't picked up any myself but Spirit Fingers is definitely the prettiest! On a side note, as a viewer I would've loved to see you pop up pictures from Holo Taco's website as a comparison with a perfectly curated promotional picture. Subscribed and can't wait to see more, keep it up!

I gotta say I was a bit disappointed with the collection. I suspected it wouldnt really be my jam, but I didnt like any of the colors and then the weird one sided file. Their regular files are great. Good to know about the staining, I have "here for the payday" and it stained worse than any polish I have ever experienced. I actually think their creme formula is really good to the point it is worth the $2.

I totally understand being disappointed by the collection. it wasn't very cohesive in the color story. I've never regretted buying HoloTaco cremes they are so nice, but for $12 they better be lol.

They explained in the release stream that because they wanted the file part to be black, it had to be one sided in order for the color to show.

I haven’t actually tried Bat Bitch myself yet, but I when I first saw the polish I couldn’t help but be reminded of when Cristine tried a very similar Pleasing polish and basically said it was underwhelming 🤣 at least she’s not charging $20 for it though lol

your two favorites were the ones i picked up (plus not pressed)!! + the glitters and nail file - also my first big boy but i dont mind that it's one sided since i only use one side at a time anyway. completely get the frustration there tho! i was ready for this to be my first HT order since while i dont watch safiya's content, i knew she'd bring the spooky... but tbh i was a little disappointed with the collection overall. oh well, saved me some money. thanks for the review!!

This was the first collection box (without the glitters or file) I purchased and while the box is very nice, I don’t think I’ll do it again. Bat bitch was disappointing, especially since Safiya is KNOWN for her love of black. I enjoyed the rest of the polishes but I agree that I don’t like to pay more than $10 for crème polishes when there are so many good colors at the drugstore now.

I think the boxes are nice but at the end of the day it's something that will sit on a shelf or in a closet and collect dust lol. I do think that HoloTaco does release some interesting cremes, but a purple will always be easy to dupe out with a drugstore polish.

I'm kind of surprised they didn't make Brucie more of a multichrome. I don't think it looks anything like LITW, but it also isn't very exciting. Bat B*tch was really just... pretty boring. It reminds me of a mainstream polish from the early 2000's =/ I know Safiya wanted something that was still black, but with a hint of something or other so I guess that's what we ended up with barely any shift. My trick with the nails and zip bags is actually shoving my nail between the zip rather than trying to pull it apart. It's usually soft enough plastic that it doesn't damage my nail.

I saw on the subreddit that someone found that out! I almost added it into the video but I just found that the magnetic line was very weak and dissipated really quickly. It was just a happy accident that it was magnetic.

This one is one sided due to some design or manufacturing limits from whoever they worked with to produce it. They stated it a few times in content about the release but you're not the only one to miss that, don't worry

I haven’t tried Holo Taco because the few times I’ve watched Christine’s KZbin channel, she’s just so snarky and dismissive of other brands and honestly, it was a serious turnoff. Like I get it, she has her own brand so of course she’s going to talk up her own products but openly insulting other brands is just not cool and I don’t want to support that.
