This game is great and underrated. The mechanics are so unique and innovative. Kawazu really knows how to develop and evolve turn based combat.

I feel like everyone has slept on this game. It’s one of the best JRPGs I’ve ever played.

But he doesn’t explain it well. You just straight up lose in wrong formation/debuff let alone not blacksmith/discount skills/recover LP with backup that can’t swap out mid battle with slow magic is as absurd as the popup (or bad fanfare dialogue let alone fat Casper lol) with no dungeon exploration (good limits for mobile) with poor character cutscenes. Also points of no return are way too frequent if you progress and forget to look or farm mines with no skip text option. Interrupts and counters are confusing too but it shows who is targeted.

@@moisescorral8297 you're as bad as my physics professor who said look at the website rather than directly answer questions for his "tutoring". I read the tips and honestly they don't help. Let alone piercing interrupts like gale strike or lightspeed are complete crap as most attacks are blunt, and learning magic is a hot mess given you have to absorb an element and read the description to see if you have a chance of learning something, let alone you wait multiple turns to cast and are a sitting duck 🦆. Elysed's call lightning is way too costly when seismic strike could paralyze far quicker if interrupt is eligible.

Just picked this up on sale via eshop. I was so confused at first, but it's easily become one of the best RPGs I've played.

Thanks. I'm certain this is a game I'd be interested in. I definitely need to pick this up sometime.

Is there any way to customize your charcters, like switching classes etc?
@modestyblaise41674 жыл бұрын
Interesting. My instant reaction when I first saw this game was, “ugh, cheap mobile graphics” and that feeling hasn’t changed. Your review has sparked a bit of interest for me though. Is there a demo? Physical release? My Switch JRPG of last year was definitely Dragon Quest XI (it’s my favourite franchise too) and Octopath Traveller the year before. So many great JRPGS on the Switch.
@2old4gaming4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately there isn’t a demo or physical release. Maybe it will eventually get one since Romancing SaGa 3 is getting a physical release. Square Enix is doing an excellent job supporting the Switch with RPGs. I can’t wait for Bravely Default 2.

@@2old4gaming I have not played it yet and I'm looking to buy, that's why I'm watching reviews. I saw that there were 4 characters on pictures and other reviews. I was curious when you said 8.

@@robertorodriguez4304 There should be 4. I believe he confused it with Romancing SaGa, where there are 8 characters.

Is there any way to download a English patch for the physical Japanese version?
@2old4gaming3 жыл бұрын
For Vita? Yes. There’s an English patch you can download if you have a hacked vita. For Switch, I’m not sure to be honest. I havent looked into hacking my switch

The real question is: Is the story really that much different when you play a different character? I highly doubt it.
@2old4gaming4 жыл бұрын
I think there would be quite a lot of differences in the story especially in chapter 1. I’m not sure if there are new sub quests for each character

90% of this "review" is just explaining game mechanics.
@Lucifronz2 жыл бұрын
That's what some people want from a review. I don't need his opinion to form my own, I just need to know how the game works to figure out if it's right for me. If you need handholding in your reviews, that's fine, but please don't mistake that for quality game reviewing. You should know what you like by now without someone else telling you.
@lain116442 жыл бұрын
@@Lucifronz What you're asking for is handholding. I want to figure out how to play the game on my own, not have someone teach me. What I want to know is if the game is good, so I can decide whether or not to buy it.
@dextersbeard3472 Жыл бұрын
@lain11644 if that's all anyone wanted from a review then the videos would be no more than 15 seconds long and just say, "its good, I like it" or "I didn't like it". There are alot of mechanics and gameplay elements that should be addressed in a review so people can decide if it's something they like or not. For you maybe you would do well to only watch the last 20 seconds of every game review. Most other people want to actually learn about a game though when watching a review.
