I can't begin to tell you how much I love this series! I Feel like everyone should have exposure to the Icelandic Sagas and love that your great great summaries and interpretations are bringing these stories to so many people who may not have the inclination or time to actually read them. I have read many of the sagas, but I still enjoy your presentations of the ones I have read, and often find new knowledge about them in your interpretations and sometimes new revelations in details that I may not have given enough attention in my own readings. I also love hearing about the sagas that I haven't read and may not have even been aware of. They inspire me to find those sagas so I can read the full text,. I feel you are providing a great service in bringing these classic works to so many people. I hope this series of videos goes on for a long, long time. Thank you very much.

I read a novel based on this Saga, but it contained none of these stories. Very cool. The authentic back drop adds a lot to the narration. Thanks so much.

There is an art to storytelling and these are prime examples. In America, we call them fairytales. Imagination was certainly strong in these sagas. I must say that walking on uneven ground, as does Valur (and I suspect Art is filming) is a gift as I would surely break an ankle! Lovely learning about Iceland.

Yay! I got my ghost story, and a horror story to boot! Dreaded perimenopause! I always heard menopause was "men-on-pause," but the rain of blood sounds right. It's fascinating that, even on Iceland, the wisdom bearers come from the sea, and teach us how to cope. Surely this is a story that humans have carried with them since before ancient Sumer, because it is found everywhere. As ever-- thank you, Dr. Roby and Mr. Bicknick. Appreciating your skills from the U.S. South-East.

Thank-you for another fascinating and engaging story Matthew - these stories deserve a wider audience and you are doing a terrific job bringing them to the world. You are seriously rocking that coat and waistcoat - that look, that landscape - are you pitching to be the next Doctor Who? Buðir is looking as lovely as ever. I dined there a couple of weeks ago and it is a wonderful place to relax and look out over Snæfellsnes. I could happily spend a couple of weeks there - not sure my bank manager would be so happy...
