It looks like a really peaceful little mountain town. Nice to see something different from the typical beach scene in the Philippines.

We also have national parks here in the Philippines that consists of mountains and forest but only locals know because it is overshadowed by our beaches. Example of mountains you could climb is Mt pulag, Mt banahaw, Mt cristobal in luzon.

Nice video Jason! Thanks for showcasing the Cordilleran region. Correction for the contents of your video desciption though, because it may confuse tourists who might plan to go there. Sagada is not located in Ifugao. It is actually in Mountain Province. The two provinces are quite near each other and so it can be easily messed up. 😊

The Sumaguing cave sytem is very complex and dangerous if there is no expert guide but it is worth it. Sagada is very tranquil and laid back, indeed it is a very good place to escape and unwind. Can't wait to go back there.

Sumaguing Cave is a level 1 cave, if I remember correctly. We went there for an anthropology class. You really need a guide to navigate the cave because you can easily get lost or worse, die. There are parts you can't pass without a guide since you'll need ropes and assistance. There are parts with water 50 feet deep, parts that venture deeper into other caves which are level 2 caves where you need to swim. You'll get dirty and you'll squeeze through very very narrow spaces lying down. It's a great experience. Also, don't just rely on google when in the Philippines. This is a tip to anyone travelling here. Always ask the locals. Filipinos are very very friendly and are always willing to help. And most likely, they speak and understand English. Part of the beauty of the Philippines is its people and you'll miss the essence of what makes the Philippines the Philippines if you don't interact with the locals.

correction, Sagada and Bontoc municipalities are already a part of Mountain Province and not Ifugao Province but they are both under the Cordillera Administrative Region in Northern Luzon. At clip 6:34, there was a massive landslide over there during the 60's decade as you can see the traces on the side of the mountain on the upper right side. There are two massive falls you can visit and the enchanted cave.

Hello Jason! Hope you’re doing well. :) Awesome content as always! Sagada is really a magical place. Been there twice and I super loved it. One minor correction though, Sagada is a town located in the province of “Mountain Province” (yes that’s the name of the province hehe) in the Cordillera region of the Philippines. It is not in Ifugao province as mentioned in your video :( Next time you visit “Mountain Province” again make a 1-2 day overnight stay in Maligcong in Bontoc municipality. It has one of the most grandiose rice terraces (called Maligcong Rice Terraces) in all of the world that can rival Batad rice terraces of the Ifugao province. That’s all hehe. Happy and safe travels my friend 🤗
