The show stands out because of the quick and witty dialog. The writers make these actors shine.

Yeah it’s one of my all time favorite shows. I like to savor the moments of watching, and I don’t have tv all the time nor cable. So when I can catch it for a season or two I do. Like it’s the year 2020, and I don’t think I’ve seen all the episodes; and I’ve enjoyed watching. So maybe this will be my year i get caught up on seeing all the episodes or not. 😊❤️

When Flynn was speaking about his relationship to Brenda, I was waiting for him to mention that moment when he said to her, in answer to her saying to him, "You have never said one nice thing to me" and he responded, after a slightly leering look, "Well, I think you really have great legs." His respect for her was growing. He was the silent male "Wolf" in the Murder Room. They built on that moment when he then became the boyfriend and husband of Raydor in Major Crimes.

@@dandyirishplay To be honest, when they started hinting at Flynn/Rador, I had to bail. Liked Flynn. Liked Raydor. Writing them into a 'ship? Barftastic.

I believe they are talking about the episode w/song "She's mine" c Game. The murder of 5 kids and the pizza guy. This was a tough one. I watch this show over and over. Never gets old. So much dry humor.

It would be helpful to have some point of reference regarding the episode they discuss from the beginning..she just said the most recent episode, but for anyone that comes across this video shortly after it's posted or even longer, such as myself, it's hard to put the conversation into context. The show is virtually impossible to find online and the few reruns they do run are always at 3:00 am. - meaning, there is no way to look up the episode. Anyway, just a thought.

DRAMA is generally two things, a plot that brings Tension & demands action Interpersonal conflict that is satisfying to the viewer. Banter can take the edge off & comic relief. /// The type A agitated, confrontational, and/or turf maintaining character of Captain Brenda Leigh Johnson (The Closer) vs. the type B calm, SEDATE Captain Sharon Raydor (Major Crimes) were in sharp contrast. /// True, a female like Raydor's character can be valid component; but, the rest of the story line & other characters DID NOT shift to compensate for interesting, emotional balance. They were locked into the old series.

I will never understand how the same person who wrote all those personal and funny moments in The Closer took all of that out in Major Crimes and fucked up it's ending in the way he did...

Based on the two women actress’s comments, it seems that they think actresses suffer more than other human beings, particularly in achieving satisfaction with there were work opportunities. Really? Isn’t work meant to be something you do as a vehicle for the finances that fund your survival. So sad that this seems to be the paradigm they sit in. That said, thank you to team Closer for the diversion from daily striving for survival.

You're comparing art to real life. In most cases actors work day/night job to pursue their art. Art as a means of survival is extremely rare.

The Closer is my favorite show; the chemistry between Fritz and Brenda is so real and palpable; and the teamwork of the characters, the way they did their jobs in a family - like atmosphere is just amazing. It's sad that Kyra Sedgwick has to leave; the show us not the same without her. I'm glad that Jon Tenney stayed but he as Fritz is not the same without his Brenda. Hope to see more projects for Jon Tenney. He is so natural in any role. --- Estelle
