Your copy certainly has a more intriguing cover than mine! I’ll assume this is Gunnar, going forward.

I am so looking forward to this. I would never have read so many sagas without push of Sagalong. You aren't last on the announcement video as Tilly missed the memo due to work I think.

I love this idea. I ordered my copy this afternoon.

My copy arrived this past Thursday, and I'm a bit intimidated by the size of it, however will try and keep up. This is my first, possibly only Icelandic saga I'll ever read, but this sagalong appears to be a fantastic way of introduction.

You're sending all of the rest of us copies of that edition, right?

I have the Penguin Deluxe Sagas of the Icelanders and have just realised it doesn't contain Njal's Saga. Gutenberg it is! Looking forward to this.

If you dip into the Gutenberg edition (I don't know which it is) & don't like it, let me know - we still have plenty of time for me to find you a different edition and send it out to you!

@@saintdonoghue Thank you for your kind offer, Steve, but I'm based a long way away in NE Poland! If there's any issue with the Gutenberg text, I may buy the Penguin edition in e-format -- the introductions often justify the price alone. I had to write a couple of articles on Iceland last year but, aside from one Laxness novel, I've yet to dive into the literature. A good month of reading up ahead.

He looks kind of scottish to me, he seems to wear a kilt. Are you sure all viking part wasn't lost in translation?
