The story is set 6 years post 1971 Indo-Pak war, that culminated in the creation of Bangladesh. Despite winning the war, a large number of Indian defence personnel have found themselves held captive in various jails in Pakistan and are faced with the fact that the Pakistani government denies their existence.
International pressure has forced the Pakistani government to make changes in the way they treat the prisoners. In a very calculated move, the Pakistani army is ordered to assemble all the Indian prisoners of war in various Pakistani jails and transfer them to a secret location somewhere in the mountainous terrain of Pakistan.

Just pause for a second and think about those 54 soldiers. We can't feel what they gone through and still don't know their whereabouts. Their loved ones who still waiting for them. This is the most sad thing about Enimity of both countries. Someone came ruled over us and then created a long border of hate. Being a 17 year old defence aspirant, i pay my tributes and honour to those brave hearts who couldn't make it to home. We will always remeber missing 54.

In 2008 , I watched that movie that time I was in grade 8. I cried a lot and I was literally so emotional that I got fever . Today in 2024 , I came to watch it again when I am an adult .... I was so heartbroken that I could never gain that courage to watch this movie again . This movie has that impact ...... They have brought real emotions out through screen

I had never heard of this film. But a few days ago, in a KZbin video of Rajveer sir, he told about this movie. Then I downloaded the movie and watched it today. Really touched the heart. It is very sad to hear that this film did not find any distributor. Similarly, Manoj Bajpayee's another film Chittagong also did not find any distributor. Rajveer sir also told that. I would also like to thank Rajveer sir for telling us about two such good films. Which is based on real life. Today's youth should also watch such inspirational and historical films. It's not just a movie, it's brutal bloody reality of our soldiers who sacrifice their lives for nation and for us.💔 But many citizens and rascal Politicians just fulfill their propaganda.😠 My blood boils when anybody point their fingers on our prestigious Indian Soldiers.😡 As a daughter of an Indian Soldier I feel very proud. It's hard to control tears rolling down from eyes while watching this movie, especially at the last moment when Manoj Vajpayee reaches Indian Border but before he could say anything to their own Indian Soilders, he took last breath and Pakistanis drag his body back to Pakistan.😭 Words are not enough to describe the life of our Bravehearted Soldiers and pain of their Families.😰😢😣

His rt leg was completely broken still he said"I'll try sir" ,he was suffering from froast bite still said don't waste time on me sir... Two of them blasted themselves to help their fellow mates escape.. isn't it wafadari? They fought until someone of them reached an Indian army post, isn't it the most courageous thing?
