You are spot on with your overview & comparison Kev. I bought an Oracle Touch almost 6 years ago and the main reason other than a stonking discount was that there are others in the household that would prefer a slap around the face with a kipper over having to use a more manual espresso machine. Also as you mentioned, the earlier machines don't have a volumetric control option, even though mine had a software update in 2020. Finally I have a Niche Zero for when I want a decaf or a different coffee seed from what I normally keep in the hopper.

Nice one Kev, think that has set me down the route to the touch, now to find me your best deal ..🙏🏼

I would be interested how the barista touch impress and the oracle touch differ, esp. regarding puck prep. Is the rotating distributor in the oracle „better“ than the puck impress system in the touch impress because of a better distribution? Why not make an in depth - comparison between these two machines?

For me personally I only use the manual button on my Dual Boiler for my shots. The only time I use any other button is the double shot one to flush shower screen after pull to clean or once before for preheat basket.

Yeah I much prefer manual shot buttons too, I use the volumetric shot button on the Gaggia Reale, but that's a commercial machine so it's a completely different kettle of fish, I pull shots manually with most machines. Ta, Kev.

Currently in Aus we have the Oracle (non touch) and barista touch impress on sale for the same price. What's the better buy between these two?

Any chance you’ll be reviewing the new Oracle Jet? They’re coming soon to Australia and I’m holding out for a review as I was originally gonna go with Oracle Touch lol

Hi Kev, thanks for all the super useful reviews! I am (probably naively) looking for a machine that is even more automated than the Oracle(s) but produces milk of similar (or better) quality. Do you know if such a machine exists?

what would you suggest for a hair salon - making about 20-30 coffees a day? the dual boiler or the oracle?
@prinzatago5 ай бұрын
Oracle definitely. Boiler heating systems are generally more durable and resilient. Consumer-level ThermoJet is not really rated for 30 cups a day.

Is the pre-infuse adjustment worth having the oracle over the touch version?

I've the Barista Touch I HATE it because I can only do one thing at a time I would MUCH prefer the Oracle Touch

Hold up. you confused me when you said "sked-jule" instead of "shed-jule". Sorry, just a bleepin' american here. But seriously, good video comparison. Thank you!

I stopped watching the second time you said PID. It's P. I. D.; proportional integral derivative.
@Coffee_Kev7 күн бұрын
It's been widely referred to as a PID for years in the industry. You can be all formal and say P.I.D if you like, fill yer boots. I say PID, if that's enough to stop you watching my videos, then wow, wow is all I have to say to that 😆.
