I totally understand landowner the DNR is not working for us they have all these sharpshooters out here in Ann Arbor do you know how many deer they miss they don’t tell nobody that they don’t know our land why can’t we Hunt them so what happens if you shoot a deer that doesn’t have It I have three kids we eat dear year around at least three times a week I’m the only person in my family working so when I do harvest a deer I feel very thankful that I can provide for my family

Agreed that the DNR and hunters need to work together to protect the future of deer hunting in Michigan. Didn't like the commentary about how both sides need a little work in that area. The DNR is not transparent, and I don't know how Michigan Out of Doors can expects hunters in the state to put their trust in an organization that operates behind closed doors. Furthermore, the DNR's management of the deer herd is questionable at best, and seems to diminish numbers at every turn. Look no further than the management plan for the UP deer herd as an example of the ineptness of the DNR. Michigan Out of Doors should stick with hunting, fishing, trapping etc. rather than political commentary. I can see with my own two eyes what type of an organization the DNR is and their intentions.

The DNR held a public meeting for the community members that their new actions are directly affecting. What about that is not transparent? I also think if it wernt for michigan out of doors giving us a look at both sides of this issue there will continue misinformation spread. We can all agree cwd is a problem that needs to be dealt, it's only going to be solved with collaboration from the dnr and hunters.
