Nice review. I got curious and made a quick comparison to my beloved cobra mk.III on edshipyard. Stronger shields and yet better regeneration rate. And it's more agile...? Aaaahhh what the heck. I'll give it a try.

I love the Scouts. I had the ASP Scout in white before Arx. I had to get a nice paint job for the little guy before I could afford the Explorer. The scout got me through a lot of scrapes. Great video guys! o7

i know this is seriously late, but the Asp Scout is a great ship, and you did an excellent job explaining and describing this ship. I love flying it simply for the fact that no one else flies this damn ship.

You make a compelling argument. Lacking this info, I was going to buy an AspS, fly it for a bit then discard it in favor of the AspX. Now, I'm gonna try it out as a fighter. Thanks!

Excellent, ObsidianAnt, I love my scout even thought I they funny looks. She’s named after a Klingon bird of prey cause she can’t take damage, but can dish it out well. (a year later I realized I used the wrong name lol)

I've fully engineered a couple of Asps and I was very disappointed with all builds. Cobra, DBS, Viper Mk4 - outperforms the Scout in almost everything. Scout is a very poor choice for combat and maneuverability isn't going to help you if your shield and hull is like made of paper. Asp Scout was designed by FD to be CZ, RES cannon fodder. Whatever you can do is AspS - AspE do it better. The only thing that ship is good for is Thargoid scout hunting and her maneuverability comes very handy. Also with class 5 Guardian booster you can have a decent exploration vessel.

The ASPX is NOT the best exploration vessel. The Krait Phantom has more and larger optional internals, as well as a longer jump range.

Why buy an AspS... the "hunting" scenario is completely unrealistic and if you want a ship for other uses, why not get a Keelback: it's cheaper, has more utility slots and capable to fit a fighter bay. Also: stock fitting for the AspS is NOT sub-optimal, the ship is

I used to have an Asp Scout for material gathering.... then i solvved it for a Keelback xd Scout is almost the same but a lot more expensive. UGLY AND UNNECESSARY Edit: A hunter? REALLY?
