I used to have blood clot issues and wanted to share my experience for anyone dealing with the same situation. Back then, I often felt numbness in my arms and legs, especially after sitting for long periods. When I went to the doctor, they said I was at risk for blood clots, which was pretty scary. At first, I thought just taking medication would be enough, but that wasn't the case. Things only got better when I made lifestyle changes along with the treatment. **First of all, drink plenty of water.** It sounds simple, but it works wonders. I used to be lazy about drinking water, but now I carry a bottle with me, and I can feel my blood circulation improving. **Light exercise is super important too.** I started by walking about 30 minutes a day and occasionally doing yoga to relax. One key thing-if you're working or watching TV, stand up and move around regularly. Don't just sit for hours. **Diet was another big change for me.** I cut down on fried foods, ate more greens and salmon, and added ginger and turmeric to my meals. Green tea has become my go-to drink now. Lastly, I cut down on alcohol and quit smoking altogether. It was tough at first, but thinking about my health kept me motivated. If you're dealing with blood clot issues, stay calm. A combination of medication and lifestyle changes worked wonders for me. I've fully recovered and feel much healthier now-wishing you the best on your journey to better health!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Your journey is truly inspiring, and your practical tips-like staying hydrated, exercising, improving diet, and making lifestyle changes-are incredibly valuable for anyone dealing with blood clot issues. It’s a great reminder that medication alone isn’t always enough, and taking care of our overall health plays a huge role in recovery and prevention. Wishing you continued good health, and thank you for contributing such helpful advice to the conversation! 😊✨

Gisele here from Canada: Just came home last night returning fr. 10 days in hospital: stroke + clot in brain. I'm 82 and take walks 60 min. daily. Had cameras in direct line with my position on the sofa so my daughter saw me waving with my only able arm (rest paralyzed). Got ambulance for me at once. Wat at hospital within 1/2 hr and immediate help to dissolve the clot. Recovered admirably and back to total normal now. Never smoked or drank. Will eat fruits & veg. more and NEVER WATCH POLITICS OR ADVERSE PROGRAMMING AGAIN. A wonderful video: Celtic Cristmas etc. MERRY X-MAS TO ALL !

I cook a whole free range chicken every week. I live alone so it goes a long way. Some i use for sandwich meat the rest for home cooked meals. Also soup and chicken bone broth. Also do fish. Today I had some pineapple. I buy all my meats from a local farm that has a store open to the public. My fish from another market. Haven't been to the Deli counter in yrs. My favorite fruits are some of the ones you mentioned and i grow blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, grapes and apples, As well as other fruits, vegies and herbs organically. Im 64 with no known health issues or meds and most people think I'm much younger. Thanks for this video. 😊

@@YourHealthyLifePath Well I guess it's the way I was raised. My mom always said you are what you eat. She mostly bought our meat from our neighbors farms and fresh or frozen vegies at every dinner. We seldom had junk food in the house except for special occasions like birthdays and holidays and absolutely no soda. Fresh fruit and other healthy snacks were how we were raised. Popcorn and icecream were a treat on weekend movie and tv nights. I remember eating avocados right out of the skin with lemon juice even as a little kid when other kids didnt have a clue what they were. Sometimes my mom would get coconuts and we had fun opening them and the fresh coconut was awesome. I raised my children that way also. She also had her own vegetable and herb garden. I learned from her and adopted that way of living as I got older. It's pretty easy and no more expensive than all the crappy food on the store shelves. I cook from scratch at home mostly but occasionally go out to a nice restaurant not a fastfood or chain restaurant though. It's a lifestyle habit I guess. 😊

I have a good selection of those fruits in all the time I've just had pomegranate We need more information like this we all need to do our research on this and we all need to have a wide section of fruits and vegetables and salad and try and eat a rainbow diet a more Mediterranean stay away from processed foods like bacon and sausages and stuff like that I don't even shop at the deli counter these days if I want sliced meat on a sandwich, I would cook a joint, a nice joint of meat or fish in the oven or chicken and sliced that rather than go to the deli counter

That's fantastic to hear! Incorporating a variety of fruits like pomegranate into your diet is a great way to support heart health. Eating a "rainbow diet" rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole foods, just like the Mediterranean diet, can make a significant difference. Preparing your own meals and avoiding processed foods is a smart approach. Thank you for sharing your insights, and keep up the great work on your health journey!

If anyone want to follow the guidelines from these videos please consult with your physician and dietitian because some food/fruits good for heart health but not good for kidney (high potassium content), & other organs. Each individual is different. Elderly people usually have multiple physical problems, so food/fruit selection should be based on the person’s overall health condition.

Thank you for sharing your insights! You're absolutely right-kiwi is a powerhouse of vitamin C, even surpassing oranges. Consulting with a knowledgeable dietitian can definitely provide a more in-depth understanding of nutrition. It's true that many doctors receive limited training in nutrition during medical school, which is why collaborating with dietitians can be so beneficial. Great, what is the serving size, the number of servings per day and for how long to be taken so the blood clotts start to desolve?
@AlinartHealth
@AlinartHealth 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question! While the video highlights fruits that may help support healthy circulation and reduce clot risks, the specific serving size and duration can vary depending on individual health needs. Generally, incorporating 1-2 servings of these fruits daily as part of a balanced diet may contribute to overall cardiovascular health. However, for targeted advice tailored to your situation, it’s best to consult with a healthcare professional or dietitian. They can provide guidance based on your unique health profile.

How much and often do you have to eat these fruits? I eat an avocado in my salad daily, have grapefruit 3-4x a week for breakfast and oranges 2-3x week. I also have the other fruits several times a month but not on a set routine. Is this enough or should I increase the amount of days?
@AlinartHealth
@AlinartHealth 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your routine! It sounds like you’re on the right track by including these heart-healthy fruits regularly. For more precise guidance: • Avocado: One avocado per day, as you're already doing, is a great source of healthy fats and vitamin E. • Grapefruit: Eating grapefruit 3-4 times a week is generally sufficient. If you’d like to increase it, aim for 4-5 servings per week, but always ensure it doesn't interfere with any medications you may be taking. • Oranges: Having oranges 2-3 times a week is beneficial, but increasing to around 4 servings per week could further support cardiovascular health, especially if you enjoy them. • Other Fruits (like berries, kiwi, and pomegranate): Aim for about 2-3 servings per week of these additional fruits. Berries, in particular, can be added easily as a snack or to breakfast for an extra boost of antioxidants. Overall, you’re doing well, and increasing the frequency of some of these fruits could provide even more benefits, but it's also important not to overdo it-balance is key. For exact needs tailored to your health, consulting a nutritionist would be best. Thanks again for your thoughtful question!

How do you know if you have blood clots
@AlinartHealth
@AlinartHealth 2 ай бұрын
Recognizing the signs of a blood clot is important. Symptoms can range from swelling, pain, warmth, and discoloration in the affected area, often in the legs or arms. If a clot travels to vital organs, it can cause more severe symptoms like sudden shortness of breath, chest pain, or difficulty breathing. If you suspect you might have a blood clot, it's crucial to seek medical attention promptly for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Is tinned pineapple alright?
@AlinartHealth
@AlinartHealth 2 ай бұрын
Great question! Tinned pineapple can still offer some of the benefits of fresh pineapple, such as bromelain, which may help with blood clot management. Just be sure to choose varieties that are canned in natural juice rather than syrup, as added sugars can reduce the health benefits. Fresh pineapple is always the best option, but tinned can be a convenient alternative. Thanks for asking!
