Nice! To share, I've saved this to my large Arizona playlist, a video tour of much of the State, and to my much smaller compilation, "Beautiful Arizona, Scenery for the Soul." Thank you for posting your videos.

You might enjoy my 2 Arizona playlists. The large one is a video tour of much of the state, organized to follow the map, and the much smaller compilation is called "Beautiful Arizona, Scenery for the Soul." Both of them have excellent Arizona night-sky/Milky Way footage.

@@PrettyGoodLookin It's unfortunate that many haven't seen these kinds of night skies. They are real, and can be seen from many places in Arizona, and throughout the western states (where much of the air is arid) in areas where mountains block city lights, areas of wilderness where it's dark enough to see the stars on a clear night. This video was probably photographed somewhere near Gilbert Ray Campground, out on McCain Loop or Kinney Rd., on the west side of the Tucson Mountains, likely not far from Saguaro National Park - west district. The further one gets from town and any/all lights, the better the view of the night sky on clear, moonless, dry nights > dry, because humidity causes distortion. ~ The view is great, too, from Three Points aka Robles Junction, especially from Diamond Bell Rd. in the Sierrita Mountains, or further south, or west. Really, anywhere there are no lights, on clear, dry, moonless nights, the view of the night sky is fabulous. ~ This is a great video, and to share it with others, I've saved it to both my Arizona playlists.

@@PrettyGoodLookin I've seen the Milky Way enumerable times with my own unaided eyes, absolutely. Again, one must be outside of the city/town with the light from those places blocked by mountains, so that it's dark enough for the best possible viewing, on a dry, clear, moonless night. Long ago, before manmade lighting, this was the view that everyone had, unless they lived in a rainy climate or the Moon was lighting everything up. I can only imagine that you've been a city-dweller all your life. :( You've really missed out. There's so much to see and learn outside of the manmade realm. I don't know if you've ever been in a position to see this, but on full-moon nights, with clear skies, it's so bright that one doesn't need a flashlight, and sometimes almost as bright as day, especially around big white boulders that are reflecting the light. I've seen a cougar stalking me in the Tucson Mountains 6' away, I've seen Mule Deer and Whitetail Deer, I've seen many Elk (further north in Arizona) and enumerable Coyotes, a large pack of which encircled me and my two big dogs on a moonless night in the desert (not far from this video filming location), I've seen numerous Black Bear around my own campsite in Arizona forested mountains. Arizona, and the West in general, is absolutely beautiful and amazing! Feel free to enjoy my Arizona playlists, compiled by this lifelong Arizonan. One is a video tour, organized to follow the map in what could be the direction of travel, the much smaller playlist is a bit of beautiful Arizona scenery at only 86 videos, and new playlists are in the works that will feature the various sections of the huge playlist. Breaking that playlist down into sections will make scrolling easier. You can see virtually anywhere in the region (and wildlife, including Mustangs, Pronghorn, Coatimundi, Lobo, Cougar and Jaguar, and many more) via the large video tour, and there are many night-sky videos throughout, organized to the sections where they were filmed. :) The west side of the Tucson Mountains is one favorite place people have to see and photograph the night skies. It's beautiful! You'll see that in the videos in my big playlist and in my Tucson playlist. :)
