Rasulullah saww said, “The earth is made for me as a place of prostration and purification.” 1.Bukhari 1:209, 2.Muslim 1:371, 3.Wasa’elu-Shi’a 3:423 Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (as) says: “Prostration is only allowed on earth or things that are from the earth, except those things which can be worn or consumed”. (Wasailul Shia, 3:591) And praying on a turba(eg. stones or clay tablets) is something even the companions did e.g. “Jabir Ibn Abdullah (ra) reported: We were praying with Messenger of Allah [s] at noon (dhuhr prayer) so I held pebbles in my palm to make it cold then switched it to my other palm and when I prostrate I put them down for my forehead” 1.Sunan al-Nisa’i, Vol 2 pg 204 2.Sunan al-Bayhaqi Vol 1 pg 439 3.Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Vol 3 pg 327.

If you don't have water to do wudhu, you use earth. Why? Because it is most pure, to purify your prayer. You don't use orange juice? Hence, you purify your prayer by prostrating on earth, the same substance you could use for wudhu, and also that which will form the covering when we die. So why do we prefer carpet or jackets? We may as well do wudhu with orange juice, pray on a dirt, and do wudhu on top of leather socks. Lol there are some that purify their prayer and then there are some that block purifying their prayer. Sayed clearly shows that The Prophet (saw) and his true companions showed how to purify our prayer, so we know who the real Ahlus Sunnah are.

He showed an other hadith in Sahih muslim volume 2 page 122 from anas bin Malik who said: „We used to pray zhur with The Messenger of Allah (swt) when it was intensely hot, and if one of us COULD NOT place his forehead firmly ob the ground, ge would spread out his garment and prostrate on it.“ So they wanted first to put their head on the ground, but if someone COULD NOT they would spread their garments and prostrate on it.
