Hello friends, welcome to Shampa’s Kitchen. Today I will make Masala Chingri Curry. Here is the Perfect tasty Chingri Macher recipe in Bengali. It is very delicious Chingri Curry recipe. Let’s see how to make perfect Masala Prawns Curry and must try this at your home.
Ingredients of Masala Prawn:
1. Prawn/ Chingri (300 gm).
2. Salt ( As per your taste).
3. Turmeric Powder ( 1tbsp).
4. Red chili powder ( 1 tbsp).
5. Mustard oil.
6. Chopped Onion (3 medium sizes).
7. Sugar(As per your taste).
8. Ginger garlic paste (1 tbsp).
9. Cumin powder (1 tbsp).
10. Coriander powder (1 tbsp).
11. Kashmiri red chili powder (1 tbsp).
12. Tomato ketchup (2 tbsp).
13. Peanuts paste( 2 tbsp peanuts).
14. Garam masala( ¼ tbsp).
15. Green chili (4/5 pcs).
16. Chopped Cilantro (As per your choice).
Methods of how to make Masala Chingri:
1. First put fresh Prawn/Chingri into a bowl.
2. Add Salt( As per your taste), ½ tbsp Turmeric powder, ½ tbsp Red chili powder. Marinate it well.
3. Now heat the pan. Add Mustard oil.
4. After heating oil adjust the flame low.
5. Add Chopped onion and fry it in low flame for 5-6 minutes.
6. Add Sugar and Salt as per your taste and stir continuously 5-6 minutes.
7. Add 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste. Fry it medium to low flame for 2-3 minutes.
8. Now add 1 tbsp Cumin powder, 1 tbsp Coriander powder, ½ tbsp Turmeric powder, ½ Red chili powder, 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chili powder and add water. Mix it well in low flame for 2 minutes.
9. Add water after 2 minutes and again mix it 2 minutes.
10. Add 2 tbsp tomato ketchup and mix it again 2 minutes.
11. Add Peanuts paste and mix it well. Stir until the oil comes out from the masala.
12. Add Prawn/Chingri and mix it with masala in high flame for 2 minutes.
13. Add Salt as per your taste and stir continuously 2 minutes.
14. Add water for Gravy. (As much as you want).
15. When gravy start boiling put the flame low and cover it. Cook for 5 minutes.
16. After 5 minutes open the cover and add ¼ tbsp Garam masala, 4/5 Green chili, Chopped Cilantro. Mix it well in high flame for 1-2 minutes.
17. Now put off the gas and spread Chopped cilantro over and cover it for 5 minutes.
18. Serve the hot Masala chingri with rice at any time.
