One of the biggest legends of Indian Cinema : The Phoenix of Indian Cinema - Sahasa Simha Dr Vishnuvardhan sir 🙏🏼 A star whose song Baare Baare was the first ever song that had a slow motion technology in Indian Cinema. Kannada film industry has the record of introducing 60 cr gross and 40 cr share to south indian cinema with a one language release called Yajamana (2000) starring Vishnu sir. Only Kamal Hassan's Indian, being an original film in 1996 had collected 60 cr gross until then, that too with 5 -6 language releases across India. Vishnu sir achieved it with 1 lang, 1 state release. A man who introduced 2 Cr collection for the first ever time in a single theatre in the history of South Indian Cinema, Dr Vishnuvardhan Sir in Aapthamitra when ticket rates were Rs 30 max for Balcony. It took 11 years (that too by India's biggest film Bahubali with ticket prices all hiked up approximately Rs 150 - Rs 1000 (depending on single screens and multiplexes) to break his previous record and that 6 years after the legend departed).. Such was his mania. (santhosh theatre - Bengaluru ) Dr Vishnuvardhan craze was in such peak that people use to throw coins on to the screen if they loved a scene or a song. The cleaners used to make a lot of money after each show. In fact, after films like Suryavamsha and Yajamana, people selling black tickets had built houses and instances of the people collecting money at the parking lot started their own grocery and fancy shops. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar once said, 'Men, women, children came to be touched by him. He was God. Newly born babies were named after him. I have never seen anything like that before. He is a much bigger star than I could ever be'. Rajinikanth once said, ' Vishnu sir was already a huge star when I entered. He helped me get stardom and I can never forget his help at the initial stages of my career'. Vishnu Dada, the valorous lion 🙏🏼🔥
