I learned something by watching this video and trying to do it: You have to have a lot of confidence and not be afraid if somebody hears you.

I would like to share my vocal journey with you since these videos have been amazingly helpful for me. I used to be a musical singer yet I have never had a vocal coach and I used to use all my range unconciously -which was really high (C3- B7). Although my range was high, due to using it so harsh I was used to losing my voice for a couple of days after shows and concerts but then it would get back. Also, though my head voice was so open, I could not really control my upper chest register smoothly. I would start to push my throat even at relatively low notes like A4! So one year I was the lead actress in a glam metal musical and I lost my voice completely. I couldn't get it back no matter how I tried. Everyday I woke up wishing I could make the slightest sound - and I coudn't. I had to stop going to rehearsals and went to the doctor to find out I had nodules in my vocal chords. From that day on, I completely lost 1 octave from my register. Even holding a C6 seemed impossible. I took vocal therapy and was able to perform for the show yet those notes never came back to me. Also, my voice started to tire out very easily. I had to transpose and change my setlists for concerts as I could not perform like I used to do. It was until later, when I discovered some of your videos like 3 months ago, I started to get a sense of how to use both my chest and head voice properly. My placement changed completely with your videos. I started to perform everyday and I did not feel tiredness in my voice once. And today, you brought me back something I thought I could never get back. I have started to effortlessly perform high notes from my head register thanks to your head voice videos. I hope I will gain all my range very soon. And moreover, I am able to use my upper chest register fully and effortlessly-which is new. I can not thank you enough for all of this! I hope everybody improves their goals with your videos

This helps a lot~ I was using supportive, affirming sounds like mmhmm and uh-huh with a higher second syllable to train this, doing both to ratchet upwards, then breaking into a laugh with the same qualities, which goes even higher for several steps. There are a ton of vocalizations that fit what we think of as being "supportive", and they are largely feminine sounds, and/or sounds commonly made by females, who have honed the sounds for efficiency over time, making it wise to utilize these sounds to practice the upper range or extend it. Sounds like mmm, ummm, hi, hello, supportive tones are in most of the greetings, there is a very large list to choose from once you start listening for "supportiveness" in human speech.

Where do u come to with your routines? They're beautiful man and, they make me really want to try it. And enjoy trying it! don't get me wrong my favorite most self-rewarding thing in the world to do is sing, learn anyway, but this makes it a whole new level of fun I kind of want to use that stuff in a song lol, I won't

This is a really neat exercise!!.....It seems like something that teaches you to connect your head and chest voice while maintaining power. I say "seems" because it's a guess lol....I have no training in vocals, so i'm not positive. Anyways, thank you for your time and videos! They have really helped me progress as a vocalist, and are that extra instruction I needed to help find my range and natural voice! Keep doing what you do, brother!

Great lesson! Your one of the best teacher i've encounter so far! Ii'm in my 50's now and i alway wanted to sing just and hi and I've tried so many times. When i listen to myself, I tend to discourage myself and say that i will never be able to do it. But I want to give it an other try this year. My vocal instrument is a bit sloppy so i still have difficulty to sing just. My lowest note if F1 and my braking point is F3. I would like to reach F4 but i'm not shure i can. Do you think it possible for me to have a 3 octaves range and sing just? Thanks for the lessons again.
