Sahih al-Bukhari is a hadith collection and a book of sunnah compiled by the Persian scholar Muḥammad ibn Ismā‘īl al-Bukhārī (810-870) around 846. Alongside Sahih Muslim, it is one of the most valued books in Sunni Islam after the Quran. Both books are part of the Kutub al-Sittah, the six major Sunni collections of hadith of the Islamic prophet Muhammadﷺ. It consists of an estimated 7,563 hadith narrations across its 97 chapters.

کتاب: دل کو نرم کرنے والی باتوں کا بیان
باب: نبی ﷺ کا فرمانا کہ دنیا میں اس طرح رہو گویا مسافر یا راستہ طے کرنے والے ہو۔
حدیث نمبر: 6416
ترجمہ:
علی بن عبداللہ، محمد بن عبدالرحمن، ابوالمنذر طفاوی، سلیمان، اعمش، مجاہد، عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ نے میرا مونڈھا پکڑ کر فرمایا کہ تم دنیا میں اس طرح رہو گویا تم مسافر ہو یا راستہ طے کرنے والے ہو اور ابن عمر کہتے ہیں کہ جب شام ہوجائے تو صبح کا انتظار نہ کرو اور جب صبح ہوجائے تو شام کا انتظار نہ کرو اور اپنی صحت کے اوقات سے اپنی مرض کے اوقات کے لئے حصہ لے لے اور اپنی حیات کے وقت سے اپنی موت کے لئے کچھ حصہ لے لے۔
Translation:
Narrated Mujahid (RA) :
Abdullah bin Umar said, "Allahs Apostle ﷺ took hold of my shoulder and said, Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler." The sub-narrator added: Ibn Umar (RA) used to say, "If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death.
