I think people in the comments missed one important part of the story. Veronica was never romantically serious about Gautam: she liked him but she never really loved him the way meera loved him. What Veronica wanted and needed the most was family. Remember that Veronica only started thinking of marrying Gautam once she met his family and she liked the feeling of belonging which this latter (and especially Gautam's mother) made her feel: This is because her parents never cared for her much and she lived lonely on her own most of her life. When she knew Gautam and Meera were in love she got scared because she felt they would get married and move out and abandon her like her parents did. This led her to being aggressive and ultimately made her fear a self-fulfilling prophecy (kinda what you fear the most ends up catching up with you scenario). Why did Veronica change her mind at the end and support Gautam and Meera's love? Well after the car accident, Gautam (even though still i love with Meera) took good care of her and helped her like she was family. She dicovered that she doesn't need him to be romantically attached to her in order not to lose him, and therefore, the love that binds Gautam and Meera was no longer perceived by Veronica as a threat of being abandoned: She could keep her trio of good friends, her little family , her "cocktail" of best friends Meera and Gautam whether or not these two were married or not. In this sense, the ending was a happy one for Veronica as much as it was for Gautam and Meera :)

No i think veronica was romantically serious about gautam but not could expose properly that and merra liked him love him but she never really loved him and feel his family like veronica and gautam didn't not right with veronica thats with thinking that he loved with meera but he didnt think about that he hurts so much veronica and in the end veronica support gautam and meeras unacceptable love because of gautam and meera happiness she sacrifice her own love because gautam was her first love and meera was her first best friend but still the end we all can see pain in Veronica eyes for loose her own love gautam understand broo😅😅

I think that veronica was a character that deserved better, she was left alone as a young person who just wanted love in her life.
