I have visited a couple of the orphanages in Vietnam. They are so loving and fun. All the children love fresh fruits. Some of them have very serious medical problems. Thanks for showing this.

If only it was that easy. 😢 Adoption is SO difficult. The cost alone is prohibitively expensive & that doesn’t include the years of paperwork, red tape and hoops you have to jump through.

There’s just no way. Even getting all of them dressed, bathed, fed, diapered and burped has got to feel like an impossible job.

We need to improve the international adoption process! It takes way too long and meanwhile these babies are laying on the floor all day craving attention. It’s a fact that if babies are not stimulated by human touch and interaction they can have developmental delays.

There didn’t seem to be much interaction between the employees and the babies. They didn’t hold them when they fed them and I don’t recall seeing any of them being burped, diapers changed, or just being cuddled. You are right about the developmental delays. Also, not many smiles on the babies’ faces. I don’t know if this is a training issue or they are understaffed.

@@allthebest744 I'm sure they are understaffed as they are in lacking supplies. That why they are fed from a community bowl and spoon, but you don't need extra staff to give a child a quick cuddle. I'm sure better training is needed to engage this little ones in activities that encourage their healthy development. I hope the GoFundMe effort is successful.

From what I know, babies and kids in orphanage learn to stop crying faster than normal kids because they know crying won't get them attention or affection they need, which they hardly have anyway :(

Last year I visited a buddhist temple in Da Nang that also functions as a home for abandon babies. The kids age ranges from 2-13. Must of been 70 of them. We gave them toys, coloring, children medicine for fever/cold. Most of these kids just wanted attention from someone. It's kind of messed up to think how an innocent newborn can get abandoned like that.

Last time I visited a Vietnamese orphanage, it was extremely sad seeing the babies still affected by Agent Orange…..they were deformed with very big heads. Not to mention there were so many children born with disabilities. That’s awesome you are making an effort to help the children!

Oh my god i want to adopt every single one of them 😭❤️ my heart is breaking for these tiny souls just left behind by the one and only support system they need - mamma 😔 i understand that some women are raped, fall pregnant and aren’t able to care for a baby, but the child is still going to experience the same lack of unconditional love and contact, as the babies of those who just had unprotected sex in a “whoopsie” situation 🤧 i love children so much it hurts to see things like this, but i believe its also very healthy to confront yourself with the reality of others. Great, valuabe content. It truly makes my appreciate my priviledge.

I was in Hanoi a couple years ago, and donated to SOS childrens. I was glad to see that they didn't actually need much in the way of help, but in hindsight, wished I found another organization that needed the help more. Thanks for doing this. The need never ends.

When it comes to children, hygiene should even be more considerated than us adult as they still have lower immune system and could get sick easier. If one child get sick, the next child who eat that same spoon could get sick too.

Well dang I didn’t like the way that lady pushed the baby’s face up that was crying over spilt food with the spoon like that😟 Use gentle touches with them these babies need extra extra gentleness and love! Cannot visit any orphanages due to the pandemic currently in saigon. Most have gone to the country side and do not allow any visitors . I do believe around March they will allow me to go back

Sadly normal people with alot of love to give, that can give them a good healthy life with all the care in the world, their wallets are not fat enough. If you want to adopt depending the country some times your looking upwards of $25,00-$50,000. Being able to keep their tummies full, a roof over their heads, clothes on their backs, with a loving set of parents isnt enough. We looked into it. You would think they would want these children o be in good homes with loving people not just a big wallet. When it comes down to it, it becomes super expensive, which makes it out of reach for people who would love to have a child.
