It's nice to see other properties in the Maldives and not just the usual super high end properties. SAII looked really nice! Hope you enjoyed the stay. Thanks for the info + video!

We really enjoyed SAii. It has fair prices and the offer is still more than great. Breakfast was terrific and so was the evening happy hour. Due to the two resorts on the connected islands, it was even more fun.

It looks like it really is a fantastic hotel especially since you have other places to explore in the same island if you want to. Enjoy your vacation in the Maldives!

There probably every hotel is fantastic :-) But yes, we enjoyed the possibility to do different things on the islands - it never gets boring.

It is a beautiful budget option to experience the Maldives

After being to SAii and Conrad, I understand now that the prices scale with the size of the room :-D SAii has rather small rooms, the rest was very nice. Waldorf has 7times the room size and 7 times the price ;-) Just used a free night certificate for the Waldorf Maldives for April next year :-D

Very nice images and a good overview of what to expect. I‘m curious to see what you say once you‘ve been to the Conrad and how they compare. The SAii doesn‘t have the typical Maldives look I‘ve seen on videos of the more upscale properties of Hilton and Marriott.

Absolutely true. The rooms don't come with those "wow"-effects at SAii and it is an artificially created island, so the sand is not pure and fine. But it's great value-for-money and you are still in paradise - the same fish, the same corals, the same ... ;-) Let's put it like that: for a price of less than the Waldorf Astoria Berlin or way less than the Conrad London St. James you are in a wow-wow-wow-location and swim with the dolphins. :-D The Conrad was more impressive for sure, but it came also with a different price tag. While we paid here around 2k$ for 4 nights, including room, transfer and food, the Conrad was around 3.3k$ for transfer and food for 5 days (room not included, this came with additional 480k points).

@@GaJaDreams did you get an upgrade at the Conrad?
@GaJaDreams2 жыл бұрын
@@sambell3842 the Conrad normally doesn't provide upgrades. Anyway, you will see three different room categories in the upcoming review - I'm currently cutting that one ;-)

@@GaJaDreams looking forward :) i just was wondering how they handle it. We been very Lucky to get an upgrad at least for a part of our stay.
@GaJaDreams2 жыл бұрын
@@sambell3842 their standard is 'no upgrade' at least. In our case, there was some issues with the timings of the flight and we got as well an upgrade for a part of our stay. And for the last room we took a paid upgrade for one night - as it was a five night stay on points, it didn't hurt too much and the offer was good.
