Lovely autumnal boat camping video, Daniel. We’re having some great wind conditions out on Tomales. Now’s the season. Sarah and I are boat camping out there this week, Wednesday to Saturday, probably. (I just got back from a 24 hour jaunt across the bay whilst my mate was attending a three day weekend of online professional coursework. She’ll benefit from three days on Tomales to recalibrate.) Your sound track and music choices made for pleasurable watching and listening. Roger Barnes came to mind there at the end. Thanks for sharing.

Oh surely it is the season out there. Fall sailing is the best! Sounds like a great trip you have planned out there! Wow. First song is Peter Droge, and second cut is Melanie Bell. I heard her too on Roger’s videos, and liked it so much I thought a few bars were nice for the end of my video. But Roger’s video blogs are in a different league. So wonderful and inspiring.

Hi there! I'm almost decided to build a scamp (I'm also considering the pocketship), have you been able to sail it in the conditions we usually find in the bay area? Cheers.

I can't speak for the Scamp but you can pick up Com-Pac 16's cheap . I have had my Com-Pac out in some weather that you wouldn't believe . I had C&C Sails add two reef points to my main sail . Just a thought if you know most of your sailing will be rough .

Oh yes, I can sail SCAMP in Bay Area conditions for sure. She is little, so not fast, but can handle the weather here. Pocketship is much larger, and has a cabin. So the use case is different. SCAMP can be launched right from the beach, which is what I do. And she can handle a blow if needed.
