Kicked Off a Cruise Ship For THIS?!

Welcome aboard the third episode of the Sail Away: Uncensored Cruise Podcast! This week, we're diving deep into the murky waters of cruise ship etiquette with a truly infamous guest: Harry, who might just be the world's worst cruise passenger.
Harry's antics on Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas are legendary for all the wrong reasons. From drunk and disorderly conduct, smoking indoors, and urinating in plant pots, to throwing lit cigarettes overboard - his behaviour was so egregious that it earned him a swift removal from the ship. Before we were able to interview him at our podcast studio in London, he was escorted off site by Police for threatening studio staff, and refusing to pay for a drink.

He is not a man though. His emotional maturity level is equivalent to a 11 to 14 year old. It happens for many reasons. They get stuck. Their body matures but developmentally they remain at that age. I find it sad as they rarely mature into adulthood . They cannot keep friends so are incapable of healthy or lasting emotional connections and their immature behaviour causes constant friction everywhere they go.

In the 1970s when my family went on a cruise every year there was none of this bad behaviour. People were civilized and polite. They dressed up for dinner and joined in many competitions and activities. They followed the rules. It's very different now.

I agree, he got on the wrong line: needed Carnival or Margaritaville. But in any situation he is a person who is completely self absorbed and a danger on board when he is seemingly proud of not viewing the safety instructions and "not hearing" the safety announcements. Leave him home in his local pub acting like a slob and let the local constabulary deal with him.

Just another example of the entitled " I paid my money can do what I like brigade" blighting cruise lines. Bet he and whoever he went with, never realised if you get throw off a cruise ship, you have to actually find your own accomadation and flight home and insurance doesn't kick in and compensate. Had 2 groups break strict rules in my years working as crew for illegal activities onboard. Bags packed and kicked off at the port and these were all company chairmen, company ceo's and wealthy passengers. Had the balls to ask for a limo to the nearest airport.

I have gone in 4 cruises so far and I have never seen a video, although it has been more than a decade. That being said, I always knew not to throw things into the ocean. I have never smoked so I wouldn’t have even thought of this issue. When they showed the story about the fire on the cruise ship caused by a passenger tossing a cigarette overboard, I was shocked. I was trying to imagine the physics of how that single cigarette destroyed a ship. I believe it, 100%, but if would have floored me if I had seen it up front.

I hesitate to ask why you're giving him the airtime, along with listing his tiktok, giving him exactly what he wants....to be "famous". If he hates cruises, then why spend his money on them? In order to have problems and get the social media clicks, etc., on his tiktok. The guy would be absolutely right at home on Costa Pacifica, where all those things he mentioned he did are absolutely "okay" with "security" and "customer service personnel" on that ship. No one would glance twice at him, and would join him, as it is entirely acceptable, especially the smoking. You should suggest that cruise ship to him. He'll become a lifelong fan :-)

I was on the cruise with Harry and you got the ship wrong. We were on the wonder of the sea and he only did play the music in the smoking area. He’s a pretty cool lad. I’m still friends with him to this day and several people went to the brig for identical things that he did. and they kicked them off in Cozumel Mexico. Yes, some people were complaining about his music, but it was people that were just walking through the smoking area. 95% of the people that hung out in the smoking area actually liked him. He’s pretty funny. I think you were opinion about him is all wrong. We got to get to know him. He’s a practical joker. But I did think it was kind of rude how you brought up business side at the end of the podcast when that should’ve stayed behind scenes between you and him not for the world to see thank you. I quoted the ship he mentions in his TikTok videos - the guy is forever drunk and doesn’t know where he is or what he’s doing. I know everything I need to know about Harry. He’s not funny, he’s an idiot with no consideration to anybody around him, and is quite happy to jeopardise the safety of others as long as he’s having a good time. Thank god Royal Caribbean kicked him off, it’s what he deserved!
