I have followed many channels for years and go back and select a new boat to follow every couple of month. I’m currently following 14 all at different stages. Some are entering the French Polynesian islands, some have competed around the world odysseys and some are in various places in the Caribbean. I have really enjoyed your adventures. You probably don’t see it but your production level has gone up so much. It has been fun to see this. There are many different styles of narrations, productions and techniques but I so enjoy your down to earth and honest style. Please don’t change. Your honesty, doubts, celebrations, and interactions are so refreshing and make me feel like I am right there in the crew. Keep up what you are doing and know it is so enjoyed by many I know. ❤ 🇨🇦

@@geoffcooper1300 that's awfully kind of you!!! We are always looking for ways to improve our video quality and story telling but we still have lots of work to do! Far from perfect! Sometimes sailing (or other projects) is enough of a challenge and we struggle to record on top of it. We want to get the good angles and capture the essence of a moment... Unfortunately, if we don't capture the moment at the time it happens we cannot go back and do a reshoot. C'est la vie.

Perhaps I'm the only subscriber who wants to know....what was the issue with the engine which refused to start. I think you made the right call that it was an issue related to fuel starvation. Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back!

Ah yes, it was a bad fuel lift pump. We had to get that replaced and we were on our way. (How terrible that we failed to clarify that in the video! 😳🤦 ) I think the more work we have done on our boat the more confident we are to do it next time. Of course, it helps that we are hovering over the mechanic and asking questions as they do the job.

Omg, that was terrible. We had to have had hundreds of them in and swarming the boat. Where are you heading for the summer season?

I had bought a goofy electric fly swatter as a gag gift for Michelle, turns out it was an essential item dealing with those horse/deer flies!! We are getting hauled in Virginia to get leaky rudder post seals addressed and then store the boat on the hard through hurricane season. Plan right now is to head back to the Bahamas by December.

@@doubl0h7 electric flyswatter eh? May have to look into that! We've seen those guns that shoot salt and those seem to work great against house flies but I think it would have to shoot rock salt to take these bas*ards out! We made it to our summer spot and getting ready to do our inwater refit. Definitely getting ready for the Bahamas (and maybe further south!) next winter.

We’d love to go further south as well but getting insurance for that seems to be really tough. We’ve got State Farm right now which is fantastic but it only goes down to the middle of Long Island, Bahamas.

Cost of Alcohol: Funny thing is if you go almost 180 (to the other side of the planet) to around indonesia there are places where Asking for saya double rum and coke is cheaper than a single. The imported mixers like Coca-Cola and Dry-Ginger are more expensive than the local rum or other local spirits. I guess I only really know this because I'm a spirits guy, not a beer guy. Interesting though.

That's fascinating! The Bahama Islands had super cheap rum, about half the cost in the US. But a single was never more expensive than a double! This is, yet another, reason for us to get over to that side of the world!
